The interviewer speaks so much that I had to jump sections, but I didn't see him ask about the Boron in future DLC. It would be nice to see Bernd's thoughts on that. The Venture mechanic seems a bit confusing and I'm not very sure if it's a good feature, since it will be assynchronous and without interaction between players.
Overall he didn't disclose much on future stuff, aside from the MP, including what's in the next update, currently in closed beta. I was expecting more questions about his assessment of the players' feedback on 4.0 changes, but just a superficial question on mining.

On bringing back the Boron, yes. I think, the latest reply is from late February in the interview with Captain Collins at around 48:45.

MP, useless............
This simulation is far too complex
The very last thing I want is another human player on my map.
Fix what already been released and more new content DLCs.

Agreed.

this is not that kind of multiplayer, players will not personally fly around your galaxy
Fixed ships getting spawned away from ship configuration menu at resupply ships from automatically getting deployables.

Once the MP foot is in the door, we may not be able to close it again.

I love the part where Bernd plays shocked at an 800 Hr game... That is only 33.3 days.

Me and my Secret Fun... people have games that go back to release date of X4.

OH and why would a game based on a random seed and simulation not be infinatly replayable?

Just some of my hot takes....

Love Bernd and Egosoft for giving the World this game to ENJOY.

PS: I have not play another X Game if I did my Fanboydom might to go 9000.

X4 is not a destination. It's a journey. Unfortunately in a wrong direction.

I have to admit, I feel the same way. Also, I can't see me ever playing this game in an unmodified state because there is just too much wrong or missing from this game without mods. That being the case, I will never get the opportunity to take advantage of the multiplayer aspect of ventures anyway.

Ideally I would like to see them really focus on the UI and command interface so that we have an entirely re-vamped system in conjunction with the next DLC. Hell just that would probably cut my mod count in half since a good chuck of the mods I use just focus on Quality of Life and the UI, things like Mules, Sector Patrols, Immediate Orders, subsystem targeting, improved mining, etc.

Ill just sit here and silently hope for some sort of co-op with a friend in my game. Nice simple invite only multiplayer, where the game is of course balanced around singleplayer. Multiplayer would be "just for fun" I mean, ive played skyrim with a friend, anything is possible.

On borons, i do so hope that they will make them a priority for the next DLC. This game will never be complete without them.
