I think I would bet on the Yaki. And I would also go as far as to say that screenshot 5 from Steam is not Terran, for some reason it seems to look a bit different from the other small ships depicted in the other screenshots
You mean this screenshot ?
Yes it looks like X3's Yaki M5.

Dead air gate mod increases number of sectors in the significantly and i really like the mod for that.

BUT soon as the game matures you are down to single digit fps and you struggle on tilll fps comes down to like 1.

I used to blame the default game x4 for this , till i tried a lengthy game without deadair gate mod.
And the difference is night and day, mature game and fps still good with smooth game.

So the question then is, what has egosoft done to ensure adding many new sectors to the game wont be fps destruction, like it is with deadair gate.

So Terran/ATF/Yaki, Terran/Aldrin/Yaki or something new?

Ooh a vertical ship, very cool. Im guessing Yaki? Terraforming gameplay? Xenon take over sectors and do something to the planet im guessing (or perhaps something much more dramatic has happened to Sol :p ). Looking forward to more info and screens.

Also, these Terrans might be from an alternate dimension guys, because of HQ plot, could be very different than the terrans from ours. Excited to find out.

I just hope its a real new feature and not a filler like a simply new ressource type or new civilian ship associated with AI missions on a waypoint (like building station).

i'd like something that can empower a bit the lategame ability of triggering galactic-wise changes/actions

edit : Or atleast someone that bring a lot of depth to lore and capable to justify the presence of planets in sector background aswell as the importance factions are giving to space control. I dont know how to represent this efficiently but that could give bonuses to a faction in terms of income or productions, and moreover i would like it to give a totally new sense to the "Expension" feeling.
No more metallic chess-board for empty space and few asteroids. A real "space-expension" program/race with territories to fight and live for

Wait... something happened to Sol? other than the Torus getting it... I didn't think anything happened in Sol... Mind you... I haven't even tried playing X4 in over a year...

OK, analysis time:

- USC confirmed, no trace of ATF.

- Mobile Minning Ship? or Terran Auxilary ship?
https://www.egosoft.com/news/images/new ... 25_214.png
https://www.egosoft.com/news/images/new ... 25_215.png

- USC fighters in the background? Look at the cokpit, visibly distinct from fighters we see on steam page:
https://www.egosoft.com/news/images/new ... 25_214.png

- Earth is fine, Torus is not Rebuild nor clean-ed up, some significant construction on Sinai & Africa:
https://www.egosoft.com/news/images/new ... 25_214.png

- Terran theme docking pads (too much white for my taste):
https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/steam/a ... 1598515434

- Either this is generic Terran asteroid base, or a hint that you can relocate player HQ:
https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/steam/a ... 1598515434

- Asymetrick Terran fighter? Or is this the same fighter from Mining Ship conceptart, just with asymetrick wings?
https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/steam/a ... 1598515434

- Mars is still not Terraformed...fine I'll do it myself, also notice the "habitat area" inside station rigns - it might be that rings are actually habitat modules as you see large and small ring:
https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/steam/a ... 1598515434

- Aqueduct in Sol?
https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/steam/a ... 1598515434

- This really doesn't look like human ship - Yaki fighter (notice the tiny oval logo to the right of cokpit)?
https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/steam/a ... 1598515434

- This is even more confusing - looks like Yaki/Terran fighter hybrid - maybe second faction will not be ATF, but some kind of pro-Alien Terran faction? ALso look at the span of the wings for that fighter! OR maybe this is Terran drone as it's too flat for cokpit:

Yes it looks like X3's Yaki M5.
Yes indeed. It looks like a mixture between Terran small ships seen in other screenshots and X3 Paranid Pegasus.

One of the screenshots seems to be something simillar to the Aqueduct, that one also seems really weird like why would they post a picture of it? Perhaps it has something to do with the upcoming plot (AFAIK there's no explanation so far as to what the Aqueducts are and why they are spread randomly all over the universe)

two Terran factions to X4: Foundations, along with their economy, ships, weapons and stations. New game-starts will introduce the identity and political stance of the Terran factions, as well as giving an alternative perspective on existing story developments in X4: Foundations.

X4: Cradle of Humanity will also shed light on what has happened to Earth in the decades since the jump-gate shutdown. Furthermore, a certain pirate faction that is well known to fans of the series will be making a dramatic comeback!

USC perspective - shoot everything that fly through our gate.
ATF perspective - shoot everything beyond our gate.

About pirates this is strage as there are only two named pirate factions:
- Darkspace pirates - Terran pirates so they would count as 3rd Terran faction.
- Yaki pirates - accordign to lore they transformed into Beryl corporation so it would be kinda strange to resurface them, albeit Steam screenshots show fighters that could look like Yaki ships.

I wonder if the terraforming thing will be a gameplay mechanic separate from the plot, or if it will be tied to the plot like the "diplomacy" feature introduced with 3.0? I felt like the diplomacy option in 3.0, where you influenced diplomacy through plot choices, was too much "on rails" for my taste, that the options were too limited and not dynamic enough.

For a Terran station, there is oddly too many Xenos on board:

Haha agreed. I also am hoping they can change some colors or at least one of the 2D designs on the docks so it's more believable that they're Terran. Nothing major, just some difference that doesn't make us wonder why they'd be so similar after the gate break. :)

It would be nice if they had docks that differed from one race to the next, so they don't all look the same.

Yes. White with blue stripes (just as I speculated half a year ago :D )

Yeah. It is nice to see Terran stations in a more "orderly" state. (In "X: Rebirth" they were mostly destroyed).
Also, it seems ES follows the "X: Rebirth" aesthetic more than X3, which is good, IMO. I am not a fan of X3 Terran stations: they looked basically like oversized cubes/cylinders.

Hope this time we are allowed to pilot Sucellus-class destroyers (or their successors), as I am interested in firing that "Insanely Huge Cannon" personally.

Aww, come on! It is just a standard "Luxury" dock. We have these in-game now. No relation to Terrans.

I'm not sure, but wasn't some Paranid faction allied with Terrans prior to gates' shutdown (lore-wise) and had an expeditionary fleet stationed in the Sol system?
