When are we getting Diplomacy? and HQ relocation?

These are features they said are coming out with 3.0 the same time as Split Vendetta?

And seeing as 3.0 is already in Beta 8 HF1, when will these features be rolled out for beta testing?

+1 for the diplomacy that is definitely missing and surly needed.

But relocating the HQ...I don't get it. Its in a pretty good sector to start with, just claim it and kick everyone else out :lol:

I think the HQ should be a one off blue print that you only get for doing some ridiculously hard mission or series of missions. the HQW can then be build by yourself anywhere you want. it would also need tons of nividium :wink:

Depends a lot on what sort of game you're playing.

My current game has been primarily focused on the area between Antigone Memorial & Black Hole Sun, helping to defend the region against HOP. Didn't have much use at all for the HQ for months, it was just too far from the parts of the map I was interested in. Just did my research & effectively abandoned it - simply could not afford to expend resources on a station in a strategically useless location (relative to the conflict I was involved with). Moving it to Antigone Memorial (or perhaps Second Contact II) & building my first station around it would certainly have been preferable.

Would have been even worse if I'd picked the other side in that conflict. If I had allied with HOP (& therefore had the rest of the universe as an enemy) HQ's location is truly awful, surrounded by enemies on all sides.

Maybe HQ relocation will be part of the expanded research tree? No idea, just guessing.
I'm waiting for that feature as well.

I'd also like more sector policing features. I'm set up in Nopelios, and HOP and ARG are happily duking it out in front of my doorstep. Not much of a problem if these are military ships, but it's more of an issue when they target NPC freighters or CV assigned to build my stations. I'm not too hot on the idea of simply turning them hostile either, since HOP now has quite a few squads of destroyers patrolling my sectors. Nothing too dramatic, as my stations are armed to the teeth, but I don't want all of my miners to get targeted before I get the change to react. :D

I think what they could do is after you initially get the HQ (completing that part of the mission) they could add it to the build blueprints in a similar manner to the venture module. That way it's greyed out if it's built, to move it just deconstruct it and the module becomes available to build again. Honestly it wouldn't surprise me if that's how they do it, seeing how that mechanic is already present for the venture modules.

Its about player choice. Every single player of X4 is anchored to Grand Exchange, this is not ok. Its a really important feature.

I hope you were kidding? Can't wait another 8 builds until then, and seeing as they said March? I take it they mean end of March?
Cause this beta is far from being complete and the Xenon are not exactly in a friendly mood right now.
They've taken Hatikvah and the Void is looking to be following that trend.

It's just there is still so much to fix that adding new mechanics would make the fixing job even more difficult. Time will tell I guess.
I tend to agree if they didn't promise it in 3.0.
If they needed to wait till a 3.5 to do it? I'd be fine with that too.
Just it's been a year and a half that this road map was laid out and what comes after 3.0 and Split Vendetta? Who knows?

While there will be some "diplomacy" involved in at least one of the new story mission chains in 3.0, the more general feature did not make it into this version. The same applies to HQ relocation. Both are still things we want to try and work on after 3.0 for some future update, but I can't promise exactly when.

Regarding the modding tools, we have done some work on them and plan to do more, but there is a lot to do and they are by no means "promised".
