I think the moral here is that the 'official' statement on 3.00 release date currently remains as per that opening post that I quoted and will stay in force until Egosoft either edit that post or otherwise make an official announcement on these forums of some different intent. Discussing impressions, perceived hints and 'reading between the lines' is all entertaining forum business but it does not really represent official intent until something is formally announced. That's my personal opinion and how I intend to approach such things. :wink:

yes Alan, thats a rational approach, but rumours and reading between the lines in human even if its not helpfull. I have so much fun with the game that i´am really excited and low on patience with the next releases, especially the dlc´s. but i agree with you, fact ist whats officially announced, even if this can be subject of change as we have seen with the release anouncments once. i also recognized that Bernd L. is avoiding any concrete statements on release timings and implemeted functionalities which is understandable after some very loud critics here.

ok, i try to adopt your way and see whats happening,

Let me try and make this as clear as possible.

1. The 3.00 Beta cycle still has some time to run. During the course of that cycle, we will be adding further new features, including some of the base-game content that was mentioned in the livestream that hasn't yet been released to Beta.
2. Once the Beta cycle is complete, all the new 3.00 features are as stable as we'd like them to be, and all the localisation for them has been done, we will look at how close X4:SV is to being ready.
2a. If it's pretty much there then we will release 3.00 and X4:SV together.
2b. If not then we won't hold back 3.00 just because the expansion isn't ready; we will release 3.00 and then a further, smaller update (which might be called 3.10 or 3.50 or whatever) with X4:SV, containing whatever additional fixes and new features are ready at that point.

Just been mining crystals all this time, waiting for this to happen, Ive never understood why EGO doesnt understand its the Player's HQ and therefore I want to put it where I want it.
It should just be obvious, I think it is. But like many things in X4 it has unfortunately taken a backseat while other features get implimented, and the dev focus is in other areas.
The Player HQ is something all players have because its story is the only thing that gives the game any kind of structure or lore, and most want to complete it quickly on any playthrough, no? To anchor every single player in Grand Exchange... to not be able to move it is a real problem and until we can the game will feel unfinished.

Does the game have a "story" (anything past the PHQ) as the X3 games had yet or is it still just a soulless semi-functional economy simulator?

Suddenly I can no longer buy blueprints from any of the factions. The drop down menu will not open on any of them. I am running the beta version so is this a known issue or anyone else experience it?

Which dropdown exactly? How does the menu look like? Optional a screenshot would be appreciated.

EDIT: Please check with the upcoming beta 3 build, if the issue is still there. We might have fixed it for that build.

Yes, yes it does! But you have to direct it yourself like often the case with sandbox games. My storyline entails the "Nopileos War" - The Nopileos Empire (my faction) starting a conquest of Paranid space in order to build a new nation that unites all the races of the X universe under one banner, future chapters would probably have included wars with other factions and an eventual Galactic War but, I never actually finished this story. I will probably start over and create a new story.

[Beta 3] Added groups for organisation of squad subordinates.
[Beta 3] Added new assignments for fleet subordinates.
[Beta 3] Added Trade assignment for subordinates of fleet auxiliary ships.
Yaaay!

[Beta 3] Added HUD icons to show what kind of missile is loaded in missile launcher.
My God, this is so tiny change, but it change so much - current missile icons are too similar which don't help during the battle.
Improved faction mine placement.
What, will factions use mines now?

groups I think is to create fleet like wings, to unclog the property menu\

second is to assign trades to go get wares for auxiliary ships so they dont have to fly around for days

EDIT: the first one I got totally wrong :lol: , I dont know what that is

EDIT 2: its so awesome! now you can assign ships in a fleet 3 different roles, attack, defense and interceptor so far attack is great as it attack the leaders target

need to test on bigger fleets but this is great!

I have a question about this. As I underestand, Attack role is for comanding your ships to attack the main target of the aggression, Defense is for defense your capital ship / fleet leader and interceptor is for attacking the subordinates of your target, am I wrong? I'm so excited about this but I would be grateful with some clarification about this new feature.

Just logged in after a small update ran on my steam client and I am no longer able to use the spacesuit repair laser. My suit inventory shows that i have it, but it doesn't show up for me to use. Just in case I went and sold the one I had and bought another. Still nothing. I can't assign it to any weapon group and it shows nowhere. Any ideas? Or new bug / issue?

Great work with the new effects vor beta 3.03. This new Xenon L projectiles are amazing.

It's a bug, which has been reported already in the Public Beta forum here.

Interception seems to go after near enough enemy small vessels from what i can tell.
Irrational factors are clearly at work.
