EGOSOFT is happy to announce the availability of X4: Foundations Update 2.00 including the following main features:
Player owned shipyards, wharfs and equipment docks: Players can now build and operate their own shipyards. This allows leaving an even deeper impact on the game's economy. Build ships for yourself or deliver them to the war factions. Participate in the faction wars on the highest possible level or just make a lot of profitsss.
Steam Workshop integration: Starting with version 2.00 X4: Foundations now also supports installing game mods via the Steam workshop. This will make it easier than ever for players to try out some of the already existing cool X4 mods!
Rebalancing of fight and economy: With Update 2.00 we changed a lot of parameters of the game economy and fight balancing. The goals include making crew gaining experience a bit easier, but also making a lot of changes to the turret and capital ship fight balancing.
As with the previous updates there are many more features and improvements, and the Russian as well as Japanese localisations have now made it out of beta. Find the details about all fixes and features here: Changelog here
Together with the release of 2.00 we also have a new edition of our X-Universe News with additional details on what's next as well as a special treat: the first chapter of the new book Yoshiko by Helge Kautz.
[Suggestion] Can we get check boxes for the "Property Owned" and "Behavior" windows that allows us to filter out what is displayed. With the Xeno incursion I have deployed close to 100 laser towers which by default show up in property owned and behavior windows causing it to lag completely out and it now barely unusable. We really need to be able to de-select what is displayed. Additionally, there should be a way to scoop deployed towers in space when they are no longer needed thus reducing clutter and video load.

There is, just like for satellites: fly close, right click -> deactivate, fly over it. Rinse and repeat 100 times, I guess

Thanks for the tip
Edit: Tried it, it does nothing other than show deactivated in the context menu. It does not dock, remove from the behavior or property owned menu so if there was a way to scoop before it does not work now.

And also don't know whatever happened to those Mk2 towers
To answer myself, I'm dumb, they got stuck in storage as they want to be deployed via docking bay. Re-tested with Mk2s, they also seem to be collectible just fine.

It does nothing then as well, just bounces off ship and sits there quivering
Dumb question: have you got any free space in your consumables storage?
Yes there is space. I tried to recover them with the same ship that deployed them which remains empty. So I am guess it is just an issue with my client. The more I read the forums, the more I see that the game is full of bugs that manifest differently on different machines. Some players claim the game client runs flawlessly for them where in my case it is just full of issues and my machine is capable of running more intensive games (I7 4790K, 32gb, RX 580, M2 OS drive and all SSD drives for games so it isn't a machine limitation).
Trackir will have me taking a look back. Staying away till then.
1. Please do more on NPC civilian/uniform variety, and bio customisations, Devs.
2. Stations need sirens/warnings when enemy is close in numbers or Station in danger of destruction (in Sandbox).
Yes, for immersion. Thankyou ahead of time. (Edit: This is actually happening!!!)

Do you know with which update they plan to introduce TrackIR support? I am sure they've told us but I've forgot... I am also staying away till it's implemented.
