Seems the Star Wars ships have never been in one package, so I guess I must have done that myself:

i'm interested about the idea of adding ship interiors.

you mean an interior like the one in rebirth where you can walk around the ship? that would be great :wink:

The only way I can think of adding interiors is by simply adding extra cameras which would be located in rendered interiors, so by pushing f1 you would go through turrets as well as maybe a cargo hold or hallway.
once i finish with all ship models ill start with interiors.

As to actually walking around, I wish, if I knew how that feature was added to X Rebirth I would certainly try add it here.

X3 Litcube Star Wars Combination?

An issue that I think this is going to run into.. are the issues X3AP has in general. Have you thought about working with Litcube, possibly working on a star wars edition of litcubes already established mod? Looking at it from the outside would it be possible to add the star wars ships to litcubes re-written version of X3AP.

He's already done the heavy lifting of balancing units, fixing "or finding a work around" for the horrible path finding, adding mining, ect. and has created rolls for the established vehicles in the game. Even his new evil corporation/ faction could be setup as the empire. Aggressively taking over.

Just a thought. I'd be interested in chatting with you about this project.

I dumped this project years ago because of a family crisis and basically i was broke, restarted it now, working on it when i can, i work 16hr days as is, so not much time to work on this.

Hi Captain,

Haven't heard of his mod, will look in to it, however I do prefer to work on my own, this way there is no pressure and I am under a lot of pressure as is.
That aggressive faction of his sounds very interesting, I started using the Khaak slot since they arnt really being used, but I don't know anything about scripting so their behavior isn't manageable, rethinking this one now :(

Another thing, perhaps you know, how can I get my textures to have almost no reflection, i need mat surfaces? I want the ships to look as close as possible to the ep IV - VI ships , dark specular maps arnt doing the trick.

The ships are really starting to look good. I had a quick chat with Litcube and hes seems very comfortable with people building there own modifications off his mod. As it really is like the new base line.

Sadly I can't help you with the lighting issues but maybe during my off time I could help balance the ships themselves. I've only done ship edits using the package creator, so I would need to talk with litcube or another talented mod author on how to easily edit the ships themselves and make them easy installs on top of litcubes already fantastic mod.

Mikhail - The reason I'm stressing using Litcubes mod as a base, is because it fixes a massive number of issues to the base game. One the stands out is the path-finding. Early last year I attempted to add Tie Fighters and an ISD to X3AP but found the ties would just ram everything.. all the time.

Never saw a Y-wing look so good in a video game. Nebulon B Frigate was also one of my favorites designs, just because the originality of the thing (also it's kind of intimidating..).

I always wondered why no one seems to be doing a mod of Star Wars.. there are mods of BatleStar Galactica, Some ships of Star Trek, but very few content of one of the most successfull space movies of all time (big fan).

The X-wing, A-wing, the Corellian Corvette (don't know the exact model name) and of course the YT-1300 are totally awesome models that i now need to have in my game lol.

Keep up the good work, too bad i don't have any modding experience but i'll try to help anyway i can.

No worries about the lighting, Ive reverted to using standard maps instead of x3, seems to be working ok, will post new pics soon.
Downloading litcubes now, will try it out.

Love that Y-Wing, and the YT-1300. I didn't even think about adding a T16. What roll would you give one of those? Personal Shuttles, maybe light combat craft?

I look forward to hearing how you like Litcubes mod. Make sure to check out his Wiki page. It can explain all the new systems hes added, and things hes fixes / cleaned up in game engine.

Hi Captain,

Im currently away, will resume work on this after 28th May.

T16 I added as a basic civilian ship, its not sold anywhere however it is one of the starting ships, there is an upgraded version of it to, youll notice it being used by taxi service, courier, civilian.

I still wanna add cloud cars for cloud city in baspin sector.

The Y-Wing is if not one of my favourite ships, it will get extra attention.
The way im trying to add ships is, none will be better than the other in in certain aspects, they will all fulfil different roles, e.g. X-Wing faster and more manoeuvrable, Y-Wing better armour/shields , ion turret better for disabling ships or draining a ships shield, heavy missiles and torpedos for cap ships.

regarding balancing ill get back to on that.
litcubes mod does not wanna install for some reason, if you could give me a link to an unpacked version that would be great.
