The payout is a separate thing. It gets triggered a little later. So wait a bit and see if it comes through.

It has worked for me each time I tried it. Although I have to say I didnt do any of the plot at all, so doing some of it might be different.

The problem is that I've waited for days. I've sat in Argon Sector M148 for hours and still there is no Griffin.

I just tried it, and the Griffon appears in the sector when I jump in there.

So accepted the FF payout in another sector, then jumped into M148 and the ship is there.

I'm not sure what's going on. I've played with the same mods since day 1 and somtimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

I just tried it again, and the moment the email arrives about the Griffon and payout for FF, the Griffon is in the sector.

I cant seem to jump into the sector before the email arrives though, so cant test if being in sector M148 when the email arrives is a problem.

I just can't seem to get the e-mail. There is a griffon in 148, but I don't know if it's the griffon. Like if I start a game using 'custom' I get put into Argon Prime and the Experimental Shuttle is never transferred to me.

Custom game doesnt have plots.

Try any other start.

I was really using it as an example. I do the 'Humble Merchant' plot.

I just tried a new humble merchant game, and the Griffon is there immediately you say to mark the plots complete. Its the only ship that actually is. All the rest appear when you jump in.

Then there must be a conflict with one of my mods then. I take a look and see which one it is. It might be the Xtra/EES jobs script that's messing things up or Improved Races. I'll check around.

This is an interesting script, I am currently playing with game starts at the moment and was thinking about creating a set of starts with at least the Aldrin Mission, Player Sector, Hub, and HQ Plot side effects...

My intention is to (a) start the player in one of the Player sectors with the name chosen based on the race of the starting character for the player or (b) start at the player at the Hub which will be initially connected between the Split Sector and the Unknown Sector adjacent to the Player Sector and have the Player select the sector name.

Do you think this is feasible? If so, do you have any tips on how this might be achieved (e.g. Vanilla MD fiiles I should look at)?

Are these all new games where the Final Fury payment isn't showing up?
If you run it on a game where Final Fury is already completed then it won't give you the option for the payment, the Griffon should however be rewarded if you don't already have it.

The Xperimental Shuttle and Custom Start is an anomaly, which I shall look at when time permits to find away round it, it's due to you starting in the sector, and not entering it.

If you want starts with certain plots completed, All Plots Complete could be modified easily to accommodate this, (one of the reasons for the last rewrite -where each plot is handled separately rather than all in one go).

It would just need some conditions adding such as if gamestart = "X" set Terran Plot complete etc...
Hub gates could probably be set at the same time - they're easy enough to change any way, if you look in the All Plots Complete file, in the DPPC01.Hub Complete Cue, you should get an idea of how it works.

Its not to do with starting in the sector. The AMS start begins in Argon Prime and The XShuttle is docked and player owned on start.

Must be something to do with Custom.

The AMS start - Apricot Mapping Services Start? Does it Always get turned over to the player?

I've just tried with the Anonymous Argon and Nostalgic Argon Starts, both which start in Argon Prime.

The Nostalgic Argon, most times the Xperimental Shuttle got turned over, but not 100%, the Anonymous Argon never got turned over.

Will have to look into this...

Every time I checked anyway.

I did a lot of new starts with the last mod update, but I didnt check the plot completion every time.

Yes, these are all new games. I have not started any plot missions. I select 'yes' to make all the plots complete, then I select 'yes' again for the v3.0 "Balance of Power" plot. Beyond that it's really hit or miss with the OFF payout. I won't be able to check my game for mod comflicts until the weekend due to work.

Osiris454, I had the same problem. I would get the two mails that asked to complete the plots (plus the delayed player sector one) but would never get the mail that asked if I wanted the Final Fury money and Griffon. So I went back and manually installed all my other mods and scripts bit by bit til I found the culprit, when I installed a jobs.txt file for SRM it stopped sending the Final Fury mail. Installing the jobs file after you accept that one piece of mail I figure should work. Although if you dont have a altered jobs file I am unsure what would be the case for your troubles.

Interesting. However, I use a modified jobs file myself, so its not so much that the file is modified, it must have something to do with how it was modified or what the modification calls.

That should go back to the SRM author for checking. Anything done in a mod that interferes with general Mission Director functioning should be found and eliminated.

Player Sector taken away from me

Was partially way through New Home when I decided I had better things to do (plus it bugged out and spawned ships on top of me firing missiles and insta killed of me at point of rescue - multiple times). I installed this mod.

All went OK, although I had to load a game just before I accepted New Home to get things to work. I got all the messages including the "Unworthy now has a sector" (those messages are are still present in my message log). An Orca is present at my hub, with the PHQ. And I flew to my new sector. All seemed good.

Then a bit later I got the message that seems to spawn the New Home mission (near Danna's Chance). I declined. I never saw the message again.

A day or so later and now my player sector is an UNKNOWN sector and is no longer "Guiding Star". I am not sure when that happened, but I suspect when I decline the Donna's mission.

I did not have anything in it yet, but I would dearly love my sector back.

Any ideas how to do that?

Not quite sure what has happened there - not one I've heard before...

When you loaded 'All Plots Complete', had you received the message regarding the Xenon in Danna's Chance, but not responded to it? Or was it prior to getting the message?

Has everything else from this mission been cleared up correctly - enemies in Danna's Chance/Freedoms Reach?

Is the problem with the player sector just the sector name? Is the owner race still the player name? Is the background correct for Guiding Star?
Are the gates present and correct?

I can knock you up a quick fix for this, but it would help bug fixing to know the extent of the 'damage'.
