probably not: its not a standard race ship and I also haven't read anything about it in the rare/unique schips thread

Theres an OTAS astraeus hauler in the ship files. Its an M7 that has 132 speed/4 GJ shield and a hanger bay of 7. It has the same turret coverage as the Cerberus. In fact, statwise it's the same as a Cerberus except its faster and has another 1 GJ shield.

No, the Auster Hauler doesn't exist. It's basically a varient of the Argon Gladiator (like the Shrike/Tern Sentinel).

Makes you wonder why they would need another M8 in anycase, probably better if OTAS had an M1 or M7.

the auster hauler is the finest M8 out there, unless youre a real stickler about speed. but its hull is 60k and it has 3 200mj shields with a 1250 cargo bay.

but it is indeed slow. about the same as the peregrin, the slowest M8 out there.. but if youre capping pirate bases or EQ docks you can always use the extra engine tunings on it.

the auster is one of those ships that egosoft pretty much made for the scripting community. it exists but not in vanilla. in fact i cant think of any scripts that make it available either. but there are stats and a pic of it available Here

excuse me, are you saying that you can make engine tunings drop by destroying stations that have them?
