Would definitely be great if you wouldn't make generalizations. Bought mine at a tag sale and will not invest money in a new, full, fresh copy if I know it won't work. Have gotten burned a couple of times recently this way.FrEeDoMe wrote:The solution for this problem is very simple.

Oh, as for me, I bought the Steam version, but installed a downloaded copy.
Could be that the reason of the problem? Maybe (maybe they ripped/messed with the audio/video files).
I use Steam because it's the easiest way for me to buy games, but I keep prefering the standalone version of the games usually (also, there was all the mess about the >2GB flag not being accessible in Steam version).
Think i will have to download the steam version now
and give it a try. Just hope not to find that same issue then

Buying a legal copy of the game does not make it legal to download another version from elsewhere. Any further discussion of illegal activities will result in a ban.
