Is there any update on the "Bridge Module Mod" that has the trailer posted in the original post for this topic?

I have been eagerly awaiting some sort of news about it since it was first brought to our attention :D

Does this mod use the same cockpit for all ships of a certain class?
For example, do all of the M3's use the same cockpit model?

atm they do, but they are working on unique cockpits for ships iirc.

is there a movie, or details about this "dynamic" thingy?

or this mod basically just rearrange the HUD elements with some cockpit look?

I recently noticed what seems to be the wrong cockpit on the Argon Mercury. The Mercury has no extended nose section and the cockpit your looking out of is the same one for the Elephant. No big deal but thought I would mention it.

Are there any plans to make this compatable with Realspace's backgrounds? ( http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=180848 , and used by spacefueladdict in his mod: http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=228541)

At the moment the backgrounds dont display correctly with this cockpit mod enabled. I gather there's another cockpit mod that works, but causes crashes :\ I want those pretty backgrounds, but I have to have cockpits :p

This is one of my favorite mods, btw :)

1. Open TShips file with x3 editor
2. set the terran m3's cockpit model's path to the argon M3's cockpit scene file
3. ????

hey, is it possible to have 2 cockpits, like when you hit F1, you switch between views?

if you can give me a little advice, i can probly do it myself.

i want to have this, but not while in combat....

I myself had to disable my mod to use this, 'couse I LOVE to have cockpits in the game, expecially for big ships, they make the game much more immersive.

If I find the way to solve the problem I'll give information. I've just little spare time for this, but there is a mod I'm working on and I was waiting for the 2.5 patch to come out (is it the last?), backgrounds too will be changed and hopefully made compatible with this mod.

I have reasons to believe the mod is causing random crashes for me, but when I remove its files from the folder I cant load my game anymore without crashing instantly. Is there a way to smoothly uninstall this mod and retain the usability of our save files?

Edit: I docked to a station in a suit and it did the job. If you want to remove the files, make sure the save you load doesn't have you in a cockpit.

Kudos on the awesome mod!

I just wish I could get it to work. :/

I followed the installation instructions and the mod works fine, with the splash screens and all, until I go to load a game and then it tells me my save games are corrupt. I uninstalled it and the save worked fine but when I reinstalled it I had the same problem.

Hey your mod looks good, can't wait to dl. Is there anyway you could add engine noise/hum to the cockpit view though? That would triple immersion for me esp. with such good cockpits ^^

Check this thread. Seems as though one of the tricks is to create a save where you are in an empty sector (using Salvage Insurance). I usually use the Unknown east of Mists of Elysium. Some even say you should be in a spacesuit (probably with your ship in Mists of Elysium, so you can call it in quickly). Once you have this "empty sector" save, you can then add or remove the cockpit files with less chance of error.

Wonderful mod, been using it for a while now with TC 2.5. This is easily the best cockpit mod because of the working gauges.

However I just updated to 2.7.1 and the mod seems to be broken in this version. At first I realized the dat/cat files for the mod had been overwritten by the new patches so I reinstalled them with the next highest number. Booted up TC, got the splash screens like usual, but after loading my game still no cockpits :cry:

Guess I'll have to get by with Cockpit Callback until a fix...please fix this...lol
