ughhh I hate rapidshare. You should consider packing everything together in one package. IE the full mod and manual. Becuase rapid crap only lets you download 1 thing a day.

The full mod has the spk in it. And Rapidshare lets me download far more than 1 thing a day. Depending on size I usually have to wait 5-15 minutes between downloads though (and I don't have an account either).

Also I have edited my own version of the hq file. And put it in game. So will this mess up the FDN system? What has changed in the hq file? Take it mostly to do with transporting goods to your HQ?

That I am not sure about. LA is away for a week and I am trying to fill in for him. I would imagine that the changes were to allow the PHQ to link into the FDN network (as all 3 of mine are). I assume (given my current understanding of fake patches and scripts) that only one version of the PHQ file can be used unless you can combine them. I would imagine that you could use both if you do not mind the PHQ being unable to link into the FDN network and you install your modified PHQ script after FDNs (but I am not positive on this).

Hi,

I'm Having a strange problem with this mod, For the FDN Menu it shows
Null before everything. the wares menu is NullNull and the ware cap menu is NullNullNull.

oddly though if i select a option under ware cap it wills say at the top how many 25 Mj shield or whatever is appropriate. I have a few mods going but some ideas about where to look might help. or if anyone else has this problem.

other then that is seems to work fine, hard to tell though.

The FDN Menu uses String Functions Library (lib.chem.strings) by Chem aka ChemODun:

The HQ file is used to add the storage to the Nodes, the Nodes are HQ class docks. If you have a look at the HQ file you will see the four extra lines, one for each Node version. You should be able to merge the two with no issues.

Cisco isn't to bad, but its the binary IP address conversions I hate. That and the hour upon hour of trying to build a network only to have it broken by the instructor.

Heh mine was 5 8 hour saturday classes (which covered a full semesters worth of material, school was breaking rules and the prof admitted it :P)

Hi All,

I will be one more change to FDN then calling it a day (again).

Currently Nodes will only link to one other Node within range. I'm changing that so the Node will access any Node where both are within range of each other. The player will just need to set access on the Node and then set which wares the Node will release.

I think the above is still in keeping with the concept, also it will help with how I'm using FDN...... :wink:

I'll still be looking into any issues reported and fix any bugs that come up.

:lol: You don't even have to link then, if they are within range of each other and the ware is set to Allow it works.

Just tried this out. Makes life a little easier in the game it seems. I did end up editing you HQ file though to put in the changes that I made to my own HQ.

Put a Medium node in my main sector and its running my complexes very well.

Turned all my Transports that were running the open loops in that sector into EST's. And a few into UT's.

Have not tried the Trade Station yet though. Seems interesting.

Well seems that my last save game got currupted last time. I saved right after I got the FDN node up and running for about an hour.

Now the save game won't load at all. Dam.

Guess I will try again.

Found out it was my fault though. I forgot to take my old HQ file out and it must of messed up the FDN script.

All better now, saves load and I remade what I did before. Lucky I save a lot. :)

Hey, I was just wondering how the new update thing with the nodes was coming along and so forth.

I reinstalled and started a new game and still couldn't get the node to node links to work and am wondering if this would help fix my problem. Thanks.
