[SCRIPT] Jump to me

Post by Graxster » Mon, 10. Nov 08, 00:52

Jump to me

:arrow: Adds a new command in the Navigation menu: Jump to me
:arrow: Required: Jump drive and Navigation Command MK1

That pretty much says it all... :D

Select it from one of your ships Navigation menu, and it will jump to your sector and fly to your position. Enjoy!

I just started to get a fleet going, only a few ships, and went to do that command today. Wasnt sure if i just couldnt find it or if it wasnt in there anymore, lol. Its odd, ive used that command only a few times in the last few years but when its gone i seem to want to use it all the time!

Thanks

Nice to have. Will it use Cycrow's Advanced Jumpdrive, which hasn't been born yet, but is on the way? (or is that his issue)

Ehh...
The "follow me" command on the menu already does the jump, assuming the autojump is set to 0 (where i keep it, anyway).

I've already asked this in Cycrows wing command thread but as I tend to use yours more often, how about adding this command to the Wing command section, then you can free jump several ships at once.

Not quite. Jump to Me makes the ship jump to your ship, not jump to the nearest jump gate. If you're in the middle of the sector, or 2,590,000k away, the ship jumps right to your ship.

Are you referring to the script in this thread, or the Free Jump script?

My bad. I meant the other thread. You're just far too productive ;)

my bad...
I read this: "Select it from one of your ships Navigation menu, and it will jump to your sector and fly to your position. "... I assumed it meant it jumped to a gate.
Would it be possible to incorporate this and your freejump script? (would it be possible to replace all jumping with your freejump script? >.< )

If this script can be modified to do "jump to AND FOLLOW me" it would be perfect.

just edit it then

open ship.cmd.jump.to.me in the SE and under line 015 (below) go into the SE fly menu commands and insert this

Code: Select all

015 @ = [THIS] -> call script '!move.jumptoposition' :  sector=$sec  position x=$x  position y=$y  position z=$z  precision=2000  should followers jump too=[TRUE]

017 [THIS] -> set command: COMMAND_Protect
018 @ = [THIS] -> escort ship [PLAYERSHIP]
