NEWS: X³: Reunion 2.0 Game Of The Year edition

A special 2007 Game Of The Year edition of X³: Reunion is due for release in the U.K. on 30th March 2007.

This special edition is of course fully updated to the latest game version (2.0.2) and is packed full of additional content, including:

- exclusive PC wallpapers
- as yet unseen slideshow movie of concept artwork
- a unique GOTY forum avatar upon game registration

In addition to this, also included on the DVD in recognition of the great work done here amongst the community are IMP's ship cockpit mod and an unofficial fan manual and guides.

The Game Of The Year DVD of X³: Reunion 2.0 will be on general release in the U.K. on 30th March and will be available at HMV, Amazon, Play, Woolworths, Morrisons and WH Smiths with more to follow later. A limited supply will also be available from the Egosoft shop.

Enlight have already release a 2.0 version of the game in the US. I doubt they will be releasing another.

It's that I've been considering to pick up the DVD so that I can have a hard copy of it since I have the Steam edition, and that special edition version would look yummy.

Do they have any intention of releasing it in Canada? The only X3: Reunion I've seen here is the v 1.3 on five CD's; Bought the copy when I saw it and I've never seen any others.. just the X2: The Threat on the shelves in the London Drugs.

Once again, Enlight have already released a 2.0 version, which should be available in both the US and Canada. The version in this news article is the UK version, released by the UK publisher. They cannot release it in the US and Canada because Enlight are the North American publisher.

I only asked because I really haven't seen any others in any of the store is this city. I make a habit of checking the software departments and gaming stores on a fairly regular basis and the only X3 I've ever seen was the copy I bought; I've been doing this for two or three years, and I wouldn't even know it existed if not for the 1.3 copy I bought.

Sorry if this seems overly persistant to you, but I don't have a credit card, and so cannot purchase off Amazon.com.

It was released around the same time that the 2.0 patch became available for download from this site, so around November of last year. If you cannot find a copy then try contacting the publisher to find out where it should be being sold.
