What about if yous slap some primer or red lead on da metal first, won't dat make da paint stick better? It helps, me thinks, if you sand it down a bit first.

I have crept out of hiding to say thank you egosoft. This was an amazing game you have created it. It had a bumpy start but in the end its turned into a master peice. Any other company would have given up long ago.

I look forword to playing the complete game now. Once again I thank you.

Yeah, but remember the screenshot with the pirated Teladi Falcons and the one on the left is blue, the middle is normal, and the right is pink? And on the Teladi Buzzards, it has the normal teal with red trim, the yellow with blue trim, the green with purple trim, and the red with cyan trim. I've tried with those ships and nothing came out.

Can you let me know how long the pause is as I have waited for a long time and nothing happens, I can't tractor the Yacht through the gate. Plus I have noticed only the left turret works on the centaur I am using.

The pause is about one minute, but only if there is no traffic coming through. Any ships going through the gate will reset the pause and you have to wait another minute.

I just hit SETA and pick up a book.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Is there anything that I could have done wrong, as there is no traffic at all in this system and I still can not get the yacht through.

The more I play with this new 2.0.02 update the more I can see that has been fixed and added, it is truely amazing and thanks to the new bonus pack I now have my beloved afterburner, the only thing I find still to be naff is the slow down in combat if more than 2 and a half ships are involved, but I guesss that can't be helped with the X engine being made roughtly the same time as the Ark. :)

I assume you have tried using the autopilot to go through the gate? I engaged the tractor beam and then used the "Fly to sector..." command and left my Teladi M6 to get on with it. That worked fine.

I didn't try clicking on the gate in the sector map and then clicking on the "follow" icon. That normally gets you through the gate, but it may not work when towing.

Do you touch the controls at all after going through a gate? I find it is best to leave them alone! You need to wait for the autopilot to move away from the gate, stop, and wait for the yacht to follow through before you do anything like cancelling the autopilot.

Is it just me or has Egosoft updated the ship class models. I've just picked up a Buster Sentinel and it's got different 'wings' to the standard buster.

I have tried all this and even another ship now. It's like the yacht just bounces off the gate and vears off to the side. One thing I have noticed that the yacht only shows up on the map as a capital ship and you can not see the ship. I have also installed all the new updates before I started the mission.

This is almost certainly due to an incompatibility with a mod, or possibly a corrupt download. There are several mods which create new ships and use the slot EgoSoft has used for the yacht, thus causing it to be invisible and hard to tow.

There is only one solution to mod incompatibility, and that is to deactivate the mod and lose the additional ships it provides. You may or may not be able to use a savegame that has been affected by the mod, I can't help with that.

If you are absolutely certain you aren't using any mods then I suggest you re-download the 2.0.02 patch and see if that makes the yacht reappear. If you use the BitTorrent download then you can instruct the BitTorrent client to save over your existing download, and it will check the download and re-download only damaged portions of the file. You then need to reinstall the patch!

Hope this fixes it. If not, ask for more help in Technical Support.

This would indicate your using a mod that NOT compatible with 2.0.

2.0 added ships, the Mods for 1.4.03 did NOT. You need to turn of the Mod and get a version thats up to date.

I found the graphics clagged up something wicked with the patch but after I turned off AQC (in game grapihics settings), changed sectors, then turned it back on I got a lot of framerate back. Still not quite as good as it was but still a lot better.

That's right, it does seem to stutter a lot more since the new patch. Before I could have a 4 on 4 with no stutter, now if there is any more than 1 on 1 it goes into rampid stutter mode, and it's not like I got a wimpy computer.
Shame, X3 is 99.99% complete, wish they could work out a way to snuff the stutter.

thanks alot. this update is great.going to be awhile till i am able to do the bala gi missions.considering i am skint and dont own a station yet.might as well get on with doing story missions.think i have to get a mine so that will be one thing of the list. any tips on getting loads of money easy? :?:
