This script adds a new upgrade available to buy from all good paranid and split equipment docks, The Missile Targetting Software

1. Setting Hotkey

Before you can make use of the missile targetting software, you need to set the hotkey, this is done in the controls menu under the interface tab.
set the key for "Missile Target Cycle"

There is also a hotkey for "target nearest missile"

2. Using Software

There are 2 hotkeys avaialble the first, will set your target to the next missile currently aimming at you, each time you press it, it cycles through the missiles.
the second hotkey allows you to target the closest missile to you.

This allows you to easily target any incomming missiles

3. Uninstalling

When uninstalling from the Script Manager, you need to run the game after uninstalling so the unisntall scripts can run and remove everything
from the game.

Added new hotkey, target nearest missile which will always target the closest missile to theship rather than cycling between them.

Typo: The ware is named "Missile Tagetting Software". "Tagetting" should be "Targeting" - missing an r and it's a single t.

Also, in the description, "incomming" should be "incoming".

Can't get this one to work. Made ' as the hotkey for targeting incomming missiles and still won't target them

i assume the option is currently available in the game, which means the script would be installed correctly.

did you save the selection when you changed the hotkey ?

Yes. Made a custom profile. Will reinstall the game and see what happens.

I think the download links might be busted. Primary and Mirror 2 go to 404s, and Mirror 1 seems to time out.

Hi, I'm looking for a script that allows the player to instantly target approaching missiles so they can be instantly shot down with fighter guns. I remember Cycrow used to have one of those around, but the download links for those scripts are dead. Does anyone have something similar? Using the "Target Nearest Enemy" keys in the vanilla game is too slow and unreliable.

I know there is the "Missile Defense Mosquito" script available in the Bonus pack, but I like to intercept incoming missiles with my fighters' guns myself.

Hi, Cycrow (hoping you're still here).
I hate to be that guy, but I've gotta ask for a bit of help if you know why this might not be working for me. I last modded (just very basic stuff) for x3tc a long time ago, probably 4 years+, so I really am having trouble remembering much. Anyway, I have your plugin manager installed, along with several modifications (proving that it does in fact work here on my install/path and with all the proper rights, etc).

And, I've even modded a tiny bit myself long ago (I have no recollection how) to show missile names instead of the default icons (modded someone else's mod, actually).

So. Just to make sure everything is still working after all these years (all mods above do work), I installed your advanced thruster control. I can confirm that it DOES give me the hotkey setting.

However, I've tried installing and re-installing the Missile Targetting software discussed here several times, and I just cannot get it to work. No hotkeys show up under the interface tab (or any other tab, that I've seen).

Please, if you can guess at the problem, let me know? This is, IMO, one of the most important scripts to have.
Or, if there is a newest version or preferable alternative, let me know.

That's because it's a script written for a different game: X3: Reunion. Not X3: Terran Conflict. (See the forum name and release date for reference.)

you could get it working by manually converting them to X3TC. You need to edit each script file and change the version numbers to allow them to be read
