The script actually counts the number of ships to which YOU are an enemy. that was not really true, it was possible to do it without "serious" rewriting. i looked the code from shipcompendium for the sort functionality

It's a developer trick. When you don't give a shit about a client request, you invoke the technical difficulty (Egosoft actually did that a few times).

You have to assign a hotkey, under controls -> interface -> bottom of the page. You know it's working if the option to assign said hotkey is there.
