TrixX's LU HUD's

Post by TrixX »

These will be integrated into the GUI installer by Litcube but currently they aren't in there so I thought I'd make a temporary thread to download them from :)

These will only work with Litcube's Universe and NOT any other mods/vanilla.

To install simply extract to your LU install Directory using 7zip.

They replace Cat/Dat08 in the addon folder.

Kool.... Could you maybe provide some screenshots though so we can see what they look like before downloading and overwriting the originals ?

1940s - Various "computers" are "programmed" using direct wiring and switches. Engineers do this in order to avoid the tabs vs spaces debate.

Oh man this UI is awesome ! I'm using the Kyanite one and I must say it's way better than LUV's :)

More vibrant, more polished, more unique icons ; a must-have !

I should probably mention that while I did remake all the icon's I kept it all as close to Litcube's original as possible. The only major difference is a borderless window design as I hadn't seen that done yet and liked the result. All the original icons were designed and made by Litcube, I just literally polished it a bit ;)

Hi TrixX!

Thanks very much. This cute mod is just what LUV needs.

I have a two questions though.

Is it possible that targeting rectangle and "aiming" circle to have borderline or contrast outline color. That way, they will be more visible in situation when the target is in front of some bright object (star, a lot of enemies of similar color)? That's my objection with this UI for a long time. In times when I need the most to see which enemy I'm targeting (in battles), I'm literally shooting blind.

I'll look into that. Main issue with borders is they hinder visibility on those items as well. I'll have a look though :)

Guess I'll go for Kyanite for now, looks good. Will you making future upgrades to this hud, like making upper sidebar button similar in size to bottom ones?

TBH I hadn't considered a size reduction for the top icons. I'm not sure how well that would go as I'm not sure how to adjust the icon position to match the reduction. The reduction part is pretty easy though.

@Litcube - Thanks mate :D

Small issue : the icon next to your speed indicator is always showing the "pause" icon, even when you go forward. It should show an arrow ^ like this.

Just checked the files and they seem to be ok in there. Could you post a pic so I can see the error as according to interface_framework_XT_diff.dds it's set correctly.

Also please mention which colour version you are using :)

Also, the little warning icon that told the player to slow down when manual dock is engaged is not displayed.
