thanks, if you could do the translation of those sectors that are still in english then i can make one final update including the typo with Earth
for the german language support.
I found most german sectornames through the 0001-L049.xml and by using X-Studio (http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=301433).
It lets you easily change or apply colorcodes in t files. And of course the file you provided was very helpfull too as it had most sectors translated anyways.

Phew, yesterdays E3 press conferences stole my time, sorry^^

Quick idea... Leave the first 3 letters of sector names default color, instead of only the first letter of certain sectors.
This would still mostly color the sector names, but almost make most of them searchable by typing the first three letters of the sector name.
Would this be hard to do?

Downloaded your mod and I quite like it, but it seems there's some issue with the translations. Probably my mix of translations.
Playing with
Just the brackets with the colornames are visible (e.g. [green]Nikkonofune[/green])
Sector names from the XRM are translated to german, so maybe that's the problem?
I am using your newest AP XRM package.
Other mods are: XRM, colored galaxy map, colored sector and marine repairs

translations t files for AP/XRM and forgot to check if the proper
colorcodes were used in those files. I fixed the 7027-L049 t file
and uploaded it, please re-download the file again from

Any ideas?

I just checked this myself and went "eww, can't search sector names".. Yours is a pretty elegant solution to the limitation.
I expanded a bit on Khadgarion's idea.
I processed all the names except the "spoken by ship computer" as I was afraid I'll break something with the extra control codes.
On top of that I left 1st 4 letters of shipyard sector names in original color so you can still tell them apart.
There are some sectors which are not listed in the "9960-L044.xml" file or the other included files but are still colored and can't be searched. For example "scionfire" and "duke's nemesis". Where are those defined?
There are also some sectors completely missing which show as "unknown sector". For example terran sectors gamma thru gamma III are missing, ditto for McCallum relay.

Updated AP / XRM Universe Colored Map (english & german),

This will fix the Unknown Sectors into Unknown Sectors with specific coordinates, it will (finally) fix the unknown sextor next to Argon M148 into Xenon Hub, it will fix the terran Unknown Sectors into Gamma 1, 2, 3 and McCallum and it will change a specific unknown sector to a pirate sector Tempestine.
