Some minor changes from v5; now looks more like final version.

Spent 1 more sleepless night on this. v4 is PERFECT. Now I can go back to XTC.

P.S. If you don't like glowing effect on main font, just delete /f folder

in v3 I've made a LOT of TINY changes, please feel free to comment.
The main ideas of this mod -
1) laconic as it possible
2) clear visibility for target marks, target arrows, gravidar.
3) only necessary reticles
4) station icons back to vanilla size
5) .... something else... - better try it to find out :)

The mod includes 3 dds files - interface itself, 1 tga file - glowing main font and 3 jpg files - recolored AP "loading" stripes and X3TC splash screen fixed for 16:9 resolution - always hated oval earth-view.

inspired by XTC and XRM mods - I'm a big fan of both.

Guys, thank you for your amazing job done.

I'm trying to make even more laconic and clear interface.
Military Hud is the best, but it has frames (much better then vanilla, but frames) around all objects, which is killing immersion IMHO.
Just removing frames makes harder to notice and identify objects in space, so icons will be much brighter and have glow like in second mod.
I'll just make them even brighter and clear.
Also glowing on other HUD elements IMHO makes HUD more immersive, as it projected into your eyes or even brains

In general, I took the best from both mods and adjusted some details.
Feel free to comment and suggest

Installation
For both TC and AP unpack into your \X3 Terran Conflict folder.
It will create following files:

Very nice work so far. This one is definitely keeper.


EDIT: Spent a little more work on this and I have to say its fantastic. It actually makes the GUI enjoyable to look at. I especially love the "glow" effect on the ship and station icons.

the best HUD mod i could find here

the radar remind me from reunion
is it possible to make the radar a bit bigger?

I don't know how to change default interface layout. Yet.

Not sure what do you mean... Gravidar is from Military Hud by ulfius.

Then I plan to add damage shield|hud and range to weapon icons, having CMOD4 in mind.

(I'm using a orange-HUD mod with this one)

I really like the smaller icons. I would say though that the shipyard icon should be bigger. If only for the sake of "realism."

The smallness of the icons are really nice but the only issue (not an issue for me really) is that when you are next to a station and look at the sector map the player icon covers the station you are next to.

Fantastic hud, plain and simple and thats what I like. I really enjoy glowing icons here. I'll keep using this. Spasiba.

Only thing is to do - weapons factory icons. I think you should be able to import them from the Military Hud.

I you have time and resources you also could make this hud in different colors as well (default Blue, Red, Green)

I suggest adding this hud to the script library as well so other players should not have any problems with finding this one.

Regarding weapon factories icons - those color triangle are actually from Military hud. I just added text overlay, but idea is failed - many mismatches with actual types cause X3TC has more factory types than availble icons.

As for different colors, I thought about black one... But seems I like Military hud colors anyway.

while in dark sectors, it becomes harder to select small ships,,

can there be an option for selection rectangles disabled/enabled versions. :)

the rest is all so good for mypart..
i have seen that FreeLancer game.. (yes that was a game..)

I don't like rectangles because if they enabled, I see only rectangles, but not ships.
Just click little bit lower/right the icon.

Just like to say that I'm enjoying thus HUD mod very much. It's different, fun, and a nice improvement over vanilla. The glow can be a bit distracting at times, but it is what makes this mod great.
