[REQ] Remove rocks.
There was a script knocking about for X3-R think it was called "Cheat.remove.rocks".
This helped me increase framerates in sectors with loads of rubble.
Basically it gave you 3 options remove rocks in a sector remove all rocks in the universe or delete all asterroids and rocks in sector.
If someone could write a script for this in X3-TC i would be most gratefull.
Sorry to the author of the original script i dont have your name so i cant give you props for it.

Script is not working
I installed the rock remoaval script, specifically the new one that removes all rocks in the universe. I followed the instructions precisely, tried several times but nothing happens. Any help would be very appreciated as this is one of my favorite scripts.

Wana have my rocks back
I have installed Graxster's script - remove rocks from universe ....(very good for low-end computers). It was fine till I realize I could't do mobile mining...Now I don't know how to remove that script,to get my rocks back..Any help, please? (I don't want to start game again...)

Merged, since this is kind of feedback about the usage of the script.Igec wrote:I have installed Graxster's script - remove rocks from universe ....(very good for low-end computers). There are actually couple more possibilities (in addition to reload), as far as I can see:
- Detonate some Asteroids. Asteroids do respawn (within some days), but each leaves some rock debrii to mobile mine.
- Use some other script (check the cheats sticky) to spawn rock debrii where you want.
- Use such script with list of original debrii (found from game files).

I used this script and it deleted all the rocks AND asteroids.
Will the asteroids come back?
It leaves the mines intact, they just don't connect to an asteroid anymore.
The nav map still shows the asteroids as well.
Is this supposed to happen?
I didn't want all the asteroids gone, just the little rocks.

I'd be interested to know this as well... which probably means I'll be obliged to check it myself.Hieronymos wrote:Has anybody tried this script right after starting a new game? Does it still zap all 'roids as well as rocks?
On the one hand, systems stuffed completely full of rocks stretch my rig to the breaking point (~15 FPS); on the other hand, removing all mobile-mining rocks entirely doesn't seem desirable, and if the asteroids themselves are removed, I'd rather do without.
Personally, I think a mod that removed 50-75% of all rocks (and 10-15% of all asteroids) from each system in the game would be an ideal solution, rather than eliminating them all. I could see a 40-50% performance boost in rock-heavy systems from this, yet you could still mobile mine and build mining factories.

I use this script with every new game start.
It removes rocks only.
Anything that can have a mine built on it (regardless of yield) is considered an asteroid and is not removed by the script.
If you are into mobile mining, it is easy to split an asteroid into chunks that can be handled later by the mining/collecting script.
