So if you hadn't noticed before I like to do some different things on this thread and today is no different. I don't know if you have been watching the latest series of Star Trek strange new worlds they have been doing something a little bit different with it, for example a few episodes back they had a couple of characters from Star Trek below decks (a cartoon series) come to life and appear in the flesh so to speak. So what has this got to do with music, well the latest episode (ep9) was a musical, was not what I was expecting, but it turns out the cast can actually sing. Now, I don't know if these will be online for long, but they are up right now as posting. The first one the title is wrong, the name of the song is actually How would you feel not flying blind as the poster has it, maybe it's an attempt to fool the copyright which won't work, anyway listen while you can:

How Would You Feel - Christina Chong La'an Noonien-Singh

I’m Ready - Jess Bush Christine Chapel

Keep Us Connected - celia rose gooding Nyota Uhura

I've added their character's name.

I have linked directly to the start of the music, but there is a backstory you may want to listen to first, if so just go to the start of the video. Pretty impressive for a 15-year-old, also even with her medical condition, she certainly has some guts, that's a fairly big concert.

So there is something wierd going on with this song right here. Leaving aside rather or not one likes it, the wierd part it is that it managed to keep a super low profile while at the same time being incredible sucessful.

The United Kingdom, Germany and France are the 3, 4 and 6 largest music markets in the world. The song was at number 1 of the single charts in all three. Still the leading artist, Cassö, who is from the UK, does not even have an English wikipedia page. In fact the only page that exists for him is in German.

How are you this sucessfull while keeping such a low profile? :o

30 years after the release of their first album, Shed Seven gets their first number 1, also shows there is still a market for music by musicians and not just some bimbos flashing their bods and letting a computer sing for them.

Shed Seven - A matter of time Full album playlist.
