You should, it's fantastic. Dr. Strangelove: or How I learned to stop worrying and love the bomb by Stanley Kubick. Check your local DVD store next time they have a sale.Java Jawa wrote:Fnky, I've never seen it, so I can't comment I guess .

The sex of the exicutioners is irrelevent. It was intimated that he fancied his army buddy and I reckon he's taken a shine to the Doctor too.

(or words to that effect)Dr Strangelove wrote:"Surely sir you don't mean to..."
"Yes I do. And don't call me Shirly!"
Fantastic film
As for Jack's bisexuality, yes he had a thing with his army buddy. And the Doctor made some serious overtones about it, and he also had a thing for rose, so the sex of his executioners is irrelivent

I think the tractor beam and stasis field might be the same device. Basically, if he wanted to teleport, the bomb was coming even though it was already "frozen" and he somehow wasn't.Java Jawa wrote: The strange thing with the tractor beam was that he was sitting on the bomb? That would've set off the detonation cord quite easily, yet when he's all cosy and comfy aboard an Alien 51st Century Warship, oh then he's in mortal peril . . .
That would also explain why there was no way he could have just set the ship on autopilot and teleported to the ground, the bomb was using the device.
Also, if it hasn't been mentioned. Bad Wolf was written on the bomb in German.

"So getting this chick back is more than just getting a chick back. It's the concrete manifestation of an abstract policy goal. And we like concrete - right, Vic?"
Red wine...the only way to frag
