I don't get what his plan is - if he stand down now, he's dead man walking - there is no way in hell Putin will let him live.
My thoughts as well. Putin can't possibly let someone question his power like that and then let them free.

What is the Russian population thinking now? In the news tomorrow: Wagner went on a shopping spree to Moscow yesterday, swapping washing machines and air conditioners for vodka.

They will be told that this was a western propaganda operation? Look at the Kursk disaster.

Plenty of mistakes among those with power comes from arrogance and narcissism. My 5 cents...

Rumors: the deal is the Minister of Defence displaced, Wagner continues operation far outside of Russia - in Africa or Middle East, persecution of Prigozhin is aborted. Time will tell.

No doubt, Putin knows how unpredictable Prigozhin can be, so I wouldn't bet his life will be spared.

Call dibs on Prigozhin dying of sudden hearth attack due to African climate.

The Wagner fighters are moving back to Ukraine, while Prigozhin is moving to Belarus, where he is expected to fall out of a high level window sometime in the near future.

After all this drama I ca confidently say that the most sh*tty job in Russia is beign an airfoce pilot, especially helicopter one:
- nobody loves you
- everyone wants to kill you
- you're danger to civilians
- you're danger to yourself
- even your helicopter hates you and will guillotine you if you try to run away

Also a helicopter pilot diary:
"Dear diary, who do we murder today?
A) Former Russians
B) Russians
C) Wannabe Russians
D) Russians in transition
E) Suspected to be Russians"

so Wagner coup has fizzled out.

did he get scared of Chechens? That's the thing with revolutions, you gotta have a plan and be ready to go all the way.

That ain't it

I wonder what is to become of the Wagner soldiers? Will they be conscripted into the Russian army, or will they just disband and go home?

Can only assume they didn't reach the capital quick enough? Either way, i'm inclined to agree, he's probably going to accidentally fall out of a window while having a heart attack.

News of it falling apart ruined an otherwise lovely day <_<

I admit, the conspiracy theorist in me, thinks this may have been orchestrated with Putin's permission, to weed out dissidents within the government or something. The whole thing seemed so implausible and bereft of chances for success, that it makes me wonder...

I highly doubt it - the whole situation exposed how weak Putin and Russia is.

Entire Russian army couldn't take Kyiv in 3 days, Wagner sieged Bahmut for 6 month, yet Moscow was nearly breched in one day.
Nothing speaks more than videos of excavators plowing the highway to Moscow and bunch of goverment and elite planes running away in all directions.

They were/are supposed to become part of the Russian army at the beginning of next month, I think it was.

I think the last news still in force, that by July they'll become part of regular army, and will if course be back in Ukraine.

Not surprising if loyal to Prigozhin will meet a quiet end.

I can see how Prigozhin was pissed about the plan to absorb his army into the regular army. Apparently, this was Russia's intent even before the revolt.

Looks like Russia was conducting raids on the Wagner mercenary homes just before Prigozhin changed his mind.

news source might not be reliable?

https://www.pravda.com.ua/eng/news/2023/06/24/7408396/

Prigozhin assets might be seized. Boxes of money and some gold.

https://news.yahoo.com/billions-roubles ... 13179.html

Pretty dodgy news source.

I agree 100%. Thanks to Wagner we know how weak the Russian military is, and that they have pretty much everything at the front. LOL I wouldn't be surprised if China invades Russia one of these days :D

In other words, Ukraine has a real chance of defeating the Russian invaders.

I am not sure if I follow this logic of weak Russia. I don't think any side actually saw the other one as an enemy and so they didn't fight. After all they depend on each other. And so Wagner just walked freely and unhindered through Russia.

Some allegedly shot down helicopters may have been single incidents of individual tensions.

It would have been different with anyone else.

Didn't Russia intentionally kill ~2000 Wagner mercenaries which prompted this action?

That is the first time I read an actual number. All other sources only recited him saying "a lot". Though it is really hard to understand what he is talking about. Like is he counting the deaths of soldiers on the frontlines as well because they got no ammunition from the military command which was what he complained about mostly. Right?
