No, I wasn't able to enable the script editor by just typing the code. I experimented, deleted every character (including the Julian) and placed only the code. It worked. wierd.

nope "Thereshallbewings" unlocks the script editor which allows any script to start functioning ;)

Ok i am doing something wrong here, I got the script editor to start and i added the spk file to the folder so that i can run some of the scripts but here is where the problem is. I try and run any of them and it give me an error, i dont know what i am doing wrong. I tried to add some money to my account but as soon as i click on the mod to activate it it gives and error and nothing else happens.

It is saying "command rejected"

I am probably missing some small thing any advice?

all it is doing is saying "command rejected" in that damn voice. i used the mod manager 1.8 to install the spk file cheat 1.2.

not sure what i am doing wrong

Im having a bit of trouble activating the SE.

i started a new game, changed pilot name (and yes, im sure it was the pilot name) to Thereshallbewings, however, my name changes to it.

then i opened command console and hit s, but i dont have the option.

anyone know what i am doing wrong?

just kidding, i dont know what i did, but it just worked. the only thing i knowingly did was put ship to idle (i read that it was needed to activate the x2 SE).

Looking for control profile (.xpf) editor

Post by spoidz » Thu, 19. Jul 07, 15:33

I searched the scripting forum and didn't get any hits on opening an XPF file. Is there any tool that can manually edit the profile files (default.xpf).

I can open them in a text editor, they are just number sequences, but comparing my custom with the default there is no way to decode which lines are which commands. Unless anyone has source code that lists them?

I am trying to reset my view commands on my joystick POV and it is just not sensitive enough to get X3 to acknowledge POV look NE/SE/NW/SW. I was hoping I could edit an xpf file directly if there is a tool for it.

X3editor/modmanager don't seem to work on these files either

Thanks

im having the same problem with my pov hat, but until now i thought it was just because i had a really old joystick.

it would be great if i could use it to scroll through menus, then i wouldnt need my keyboard at all!

i dont think anyone has done anything with the profile files, u could try to change a single key then save it, and compare the 2 files to see what changes.

however, its possible that its encyrpted. Most X files are, you could try XOR'ing the file and c what you get

Cycrow,

Thanks, kinda expected as much. I have both the default.xpf and my current profile in Excel side by side but it is still pretty much a haystack.

Cheers

hi, i was wondering if it would be possible to make the game use a different language file? i bought this on holiday in germany, but when i started modding, i realised the game came with other language files. so, would it be possible to make the game run off the english file ( i think its 420001?)

thanks

i wasnt sure whether or not to post that in the tech support, but decided that maybe someone here would know something about it, since i only worked out that i could change it when learning to mod lol

in the X3 directory (i.e D:\Games\X3 Reunion)
open the file called lang.dat with a text editor.
and change the files content to read 44

7 = Russian
33 = french
39 = Italian
44 = English
49 = German
