"Nuke", you're a legend on these forums.

It is always difficult for legends to keep up with ,if not exceed one's past efforts, whatever their indulgence is,music or otherwise.

But I am sure there are many here who would love to have a new read from you.
If not based on TC,perhaps when TNBT arrives ?

I don't know, Scion Drakhar's seems to be working pretty well.

And besides, the Steve start is not easy. At all. But with two new plots to work, and all the 'DF Fun' of post-2.5 boarding...

Of course it's your choice to do or not, but it's not the game itself that's interesting. It's the talent of the writer. Just playing the game and telling about it is okay, but telling a story requires a talent and flair that not everyone has. Plus you've got the dedication to put the game time in and write the story.

 You nearly got me there. Then I remembered what day it was.

Hate you guys.

That said, ingame graphics kind of gave it away too. :P
Allergic to work.

If at first you don't succeed, delegate the job to a minion.

There is a mod where you can manage your wings an ships as easily as the book says? or some script so your fighters keep the shields down in a boarding mission?

I've read this great story a long time ago already, but coming back to X3 I wanted some inspiration. Sadly the links for the screenshots are dead. And the pdf versions, all 3 of them actually, are no longer available on Rapidshare. Please PM me if you have one of the pdf, or post a working link if you know any.

BTW I do have the pdf version of the previous stories, Squiddy McSquid and Zen, if anyone's interested.

I've got PDFs of all three of Nuke's DiDs. I can upload one to a file share site some time tomorrow when I've got a better connection to use. I'll post a link here when it's done mate :)

That's cool, thank you. Triaxx2 said he got it too, but one more link won't hurt, and you might even have one of the 2 other versions.

And I might as well put my own links here for the 2 previous DiDs :

- Squiddy McSquid part 1, part 2
- Zen and the Art of Running Away and the related video

I've just uploaded them today, but it's the first time I use rapidshare, so I have no idea how long they'll last.

Right then. Wanton Use of Nukes

I've not used File factory before, so I'm not sure what the download service is like, but nonetheless, there you go :) I believe it's the PDF compiled by _Zap_, and I've read it many many times over the last couple years. Hope you enjoy :D

*self-necro*

Since I got tracked down and prodded the other day I've checked and refreshed the following links so they should be good again for those interested. Yell if they're not.

Squiddy McSquids possibly short life - Compiled courtesy of Toastie

Zen and the Art of Running away - Compiled courtesy of Yoink
Accompanying video (198Mb) - 'Operation: Slightly improbable'

And three (eep!) different authors for the last one in no order of preference..

a few years later, and ive just read through the posts. a little lacking in info, since the links have died, but i got the gist of it :) truely inspiring, and i hope to see more of them :)

I think these stories have sold a hec of a lot of copies of X3:TC/Superbox :D And helped alot of "Newbs" in getting some hints of how to go along playing :)

Cheers X-comrades :D

There are some more recent links in the DiD Index, second post on page 3. Worth a look, since it has all the pictures.

thank you for the tip! there they was, all pdf's with pictures :D it misses the context of the hired pilots ramblings in between the chapters tho, i found those as entertaining as the story itself :D But non the less, i can now read the pdf and see pictures as well as read through the forum thread :D

Anyone have live versions of this compiled story? I can upload to Google Drive or something....more likely to not get shut down than every other link :(

Sorry to double post but would love a copy of this if anyone has it around. Every link has died...
