Description

This modification changes individual control and menu elements in the game and consists of a mixture of elements from other HUD or GUI mods and elements which have been changed by myself


Overview of Major Changes

- Revised vanilla colour scheme with a little more transparency
- Removal of side bar and object brackets(if not selected as target), side menu bar and not flashing message icon
- Message indicator replaced by a version that does not light up
- Continuous shield and hull energy display
- Better visible direction indicators to the marked/mission target
- Changed elements of the target system and warning overlays
- Revision of the weapon and missile symbols with added designation or designation abbreviation
- Changed menu items: Selection buttons, scroll bar, product level display
- Changed displays/buttons: Radar, weapon ship and target info display, monitor controls
- Changed icons: Side menu, armoured transporters, gates, licences, crates and asteroids

Installation
  1. Unpack *.cat and *.dat file from *.zip archive, for English descriptions unpack files with extension -L044
  2. Copy both files into the game directory ...\addon2\mods\ or alternatively copy both files into the game directory ...\addon2\ and rename them to the next higher number, e.g. 06.cat / 06.dat
  3. If both files have been placed in the "mods" folder, the corresponding mod must be selected in the game launcher under "Select mod package" and confirmed with "OK"

Uninstall
  1. Remove *.cat- and *.dat-files from the respective directories

Due to the many revisions leading up to publication, the origin logging also suffered a bit, so I hope I haven't forgotten any.

I'm using this mod and I love it. Only thing that bothers me is the vertical scroll bar in menus. I'm using it a LOT and sometimes it's almost invisible. More visible(bright) scroll would be very nice.

Then it was worth putting it online if there is someone next to me who also likes it :wink: Thanks for your feedback. The dark background from the scroll bar isn't existing anymore in my latest version, so the visibility should be better. However the menu background also changed to a less transparent one and there are still some minor things at the moment which I don't quite like yet and which i still want adjust a little bit but due to the lack of time i don't know when i get to it. Maybe i can pack a beta prerelease version in the meantime of it... I'll have a look...

Awesome GUI, thanks allot been using it with Guilds for quite some time now and I'm having a blast here.

Hello!

i am trying your mod and i am likely it a lot, i am using a custom charachter which is the biggest possible and i am very satisfied with it because reading is really easy at 1980 res, problem is if i target something the speed of the target overlap with target distance, so i would like to edit these 2 bars to make them wider,
any advice?

PS: I have the same problem with vanilla, not a problem with your mod.

Hello, have been trying some hud mod and after a lot of testing i found out that "interface_framework_XT_diff" is what control graphic overlay UI for Target, weapons and your own shit hull and shields. Now since i manage to edit a very good charachter that allow a super confortable reading of text at 1980 i was wondering if there is a way to MOVE text of overlay of a small portion. I searched the web but coudln't find an anwer to this. Basically in the target box i have the distance from the target overlapping with speed of the target, since the charachter i am using are pretty big.

I edited (afte a full night of study) the "interface_framework_XT_diff.dds" and after a lot of tries i was succesful....problem though is not solved cause the text look in a fixed position and not anchored to overlay UI so even if you make the box bigger, text is in the same position.

In the target box, bottom of the screen you can see the speed of target and distance overlapping, making things hard to read.

Any suggestions?

Hello Bandenere, i saw you already found the right files where these hud elements are. Unfortunately the text positions are hardcoded. Would be an alternative to use the second displays for them around your crosshair? The speed of your target you will find left to it and the distance underneath.
