[X3:TC][BUG] Treasure Hunt plot being removed after doing a Protect station mission?

Yeah just posting this info here in case anyone gets stuck like me:

there is some sort of bug with the treasure hunt main plot if you pick up a protect station quest and the enemies are yaki(fought and killed 2 yaki owned centaur) and it removed the main plot quest entirely. Can anyone clarify if this has happened to them as well? Basically any of those kill quests involving assassinating yaki ships and the treasure hunt main plot disappearing(I mean if you became like me and basically just ignored it until you were in mid-game).
