I dont have Steam folder. When i want to install AP bonus pack. It points to this directory;
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\x3 terran conflict\addon
My game dir looks like this;
C:\Program Files (x86)\Egosoft\X3 Albion Prelude\addon
If you want to install AP bonus pack then you need to manually select "X3 Albion Prelude" folder.
Make backup of scripts and t folder before you progress.

Savegame compatibility

Post by Draco Redux » Mon, 22. Oct 12, 00:42

Is the TC version of the Bonus Pack savegame compatible? I read over the post and can't seem to find any info one way or the other. I apologize if I missed it. I would appreciate clarification.

I am getting a CTD when I try to load a prior save. So, I assume either it isn't compatible or I somehow botched a simple installation. Thanks in advance.

It should be, unless youre running some conflicting mods/scripts.

The only other non vanilla script/mod I am running is the X3TC Cheat Package. I confirmed that the "Program Not Responding" is only caused when trying to load a savegame. I can start a new game just fine. I get the X-tended loading screens and the new start options as well. Any further insight would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

X-tended is a mod
There may be incompatibilities with the mod.
Check the Mod thread in the s/m forum

Also the Bonus packages are game specific....

Reunion for Reunion
TC for TC
AP for AP
X2 for X2

You can't mix and match very well

There are updates to various scripts, but they are not signed by Ego

Unfortunately, a different issue has presented itself. I got the actual Bonus pack installed. I have TC and installed the TC version as expected. It has strange side effects for my game. Some of my ships do not respond to my commands and npc audio (missions and stations) has been disabled by the bonus pack. Does anyone have any ideas?

register your game,go yo tech support, and supply required system info as stated in the stickies on that forum. :D

<But there is probably no point in doing that with a broken installation of the Xtended mod still present. Tech Sp is for vanilla games. Alan Phipps>

I used the uninstaller for X-Tended prior to installing the Bonus pack. Would deleting my game folder and downloading again be a solution? Thanks in advance.

Yes.

Note that any saves you created while XTM was installed will not be usable.

Yes it would - completely delete the Steam X3TC game folder to remove all modified, extra and broken files that the uninstaller may miss. If you have a DVD version of TC, then install that first and then move it into the Steam folder to save download as per the note here. You can verify the installation as per this. Obviously that is all just for Steam.

Yea, I didn't make any saves because the problems were immediately apparent. I kinda guessed that the installer would miss something. Thanks for all the help.

Hello!

I have a question about the bonus package of TC and AP. I have a steam version of TC and AP.

I have simply installed the bonus packages both for TC and AP but I'm playing only AP now, so I'm interested in that one.

So my question is:I simply installed the bonus pack. to Steam/steamapps/common/X3 Terran Conflict/addon. Did I install correctly?
Now there's a 'BonuspackUninstaller' folder in the /addon folder and a 'X3AP-Bonuspackage_Readme-English'.pdf file in the addon/documents

What's more, if I was wrong and I have to reapply the patch, can I continues my savegames or I have to restart a new one?

Btw where can I find the savegames?

Sorry for the many questions :)

That was correct. Addon folder for the X3AP one and the main X3TC folder for the TC one.

Savegames are found here.

Sorry if this question has been asked before. I did a lot of reading last time on some the guides. Starting to get into AP, I was wondering would any of these mods trigger a modded game and ruin my stats per game. I have not figured that one out anyways but when I do I hate to ruin it. Also is there a way to tell if your saved game is still fine from other mods or how can one tell there does not seem to have a system in place.

At the bottom of the pilot stats screen it will say *modified*.

If you want to make sure you're looking in the right place, enabling the script editor will flag your game as modified (remember to exit without saving).
