xeon_1 - doesn't really matter how they are formed up. I don't mind flying around, just need them seperated by a few kilometers on all sides. Thank you so much for that, gonna help out a TON. I was waiting for these ships to come to all stop while trying to get lined up for the shot, VERY time consuming.

szuur - I am updating the link on the first page with every change I make


Thinking of an in detail chart for each ship, which will include ship specs (weapons, speed etc), hardpoint locations, things of interest, length, width, height....

And seperate image with all the ships to compare size...

Finished measuring the ships, I am going to just type the result here, and update it, until I figure out how I want to organize all this.

Firstly, this is a fantastic piece of work. I'm still looking at the picture, its a work of art.

Second, I think this now completely removes any argument about people saying "Of course you can't fit a super freighter into a TL or M1 or M2, it's got as much cargo space as them!". Or why you can't fit a few fighters into a M2. This is complete proof that the reasons you can't are not logical or consistant at all, just a nerf.

But it's so huge Ship! Of coures how come M3 destory M1 or M2 single hand due to Shield too slow to recover to give M3 keep shooting, and some anit-fighter gun like flak short ranges, and some gun like PPC is very slow, yeah I know there mod out fixed this but I was talk about Normal X-3 1.2.1. Way to look at TL almost same size to M1 or M2 and yet their shield is lighter then M1, or M2?

On another note, Arwan has finished his shots of the Argon ships (Spectacular I might add) and they should be up shortly.

M1 and M2, TL for that's matter hold many kind of Weapons and Ammo, M3 and M4 hold very, very limited, Look at this, Buster almost dot to Argon M2, I dare say Nova little bigger then Buster and dont have lot of Munitions againt those ship, Argon M2, and yet it's can be happan in the game.

Boy, I can't wait to see fine art.

Argon ships added.

Image is almost complete for the larger ships minus the Teladi. Can't get close enough with out them trying to kill me, so I will be waiting on xeon_1's wonderful script.

Seeing that the M3-M5 classes will be to small on this scale to make anything of them, I am going to make a seperate page for fighters, and another for freighters.

Of course, if anybody has anything, or any ideas to make this better, I'm all ears.

maybe we could get someone to template a page that will let you put one ship on top of your monitor and another on the botom of your monitor so you can see them in scale to one another and we can just put a size scale up against each ship so you can see the real size of each ship this way you can keep the smaller fighter ships there as well as you wouldnt need to shrink them down just put a scale next to them that relates to there size and then one next to the other ship in the other window that relates to that ships size.

The Argon M2 looks a little fisheyed (for example there doesn't seem to be evidence of the weird antenna in front) ... that's all really.

First, great job! It's fun to see them scaled like this.

Second... wow.... it's amazing to see how much they're using the same models and just warping them in the 3D editor, to get variants like TL's, M2's and M1's. That's a little disappointing. A modern nuke aircraft carrier really doesn't look that much like a big superfreighter.

the models are basically the same but when it comes down to details they are very different...

modern aircraft carriers all look the same, too. ;)

Modern aircraft carriers tend to look the same, because there is only one country heavily investing in that technology. :)

In WWI and WWII, there were at least a few differences in carrier designs. And it was never difficult to tell a merchant ship from a military ship.

Maybe in the X universe they're just really strapped for cash, and have to make all the big ships from the same basic plans? I could almost buy that. :)

i made 2 shots of each argon ship one with antenas in the shot one with out them it looks the one without them made the cut.

yea or nay

its easier to cut without antenas but will apear slightly larger than is

yet more acurate with antenas but might as well add some time and squinty eyes when it comes to cutting them as it can be hard to see them since they are more like a bull whip antena in space then a large arm antena or something like that.

Arwan is right, supplied me with 2 pics, and I chose the wrong one.
Has been fixed.
As far as detail, I try to get as much as possible, including every little antenna that I can make out.

If you look at the ships, they are actually quite different. May have the same basic style and shape, but deff. have their differences.

i have made the script for all the models but made an error with the used distance scale i thought it would by in km not in meters so i just need to correct that and the script ready

all the ships have a 5 km clearance on all sides is that good enough for you?
