End of Terran Plot: Sector Consequences?

Post by Nagittchi » Tue, 4. Jan 22, 19:14

I've reached the end of Terran Plot and chose to

side with the Terrans
. Reached the final part and the result was

total annihilation of the Terran fleet in Brennan's Triumph Delta - I mean come on. 3 ships vs 20+ M2s? Sol could have been occupied at least for a bit if the Terrans were that much of a wimp.
I read on Roguey's site that the

battle was rigged with one of the Terran ships supposed to be invincible but that wasn't the case
- so my question is are these going to start wandering out and wrecking my ships or will they be self contained in that sector to be dealt with later?

As far as I know the invincible Kyoto only roams, but never truly leaves. Where it goes I cannot say as I have not finished it. But I do suggest doing a quick search as this question actually has been posted and answered in another thread.

As of yet I played the Terran Plot tree times, always sided with the Terrans.

Always: with the placement of the TOA in Brennans-Triumph-alpha appeared a Kyoto. I thought that is the "Invinceble" one (because in one game I saw him with hull at 92% at one time, but boarded him later. In another game this ship was gone when I went there to board him again).

Im not sure there is always a (invinceble) Kyoto in Brennans Triumph-delta. As in my current (third) game at the start of the battle there was one (other?) Kyoto that got destroyed pretty fast. (Pretty sure there was no other, because All-Seeing-Eye reportet only 1 Kyoto in Jupiter a bit later.)
In my second playthrough I remember a pair of Osakas beeing in-sector at the start of the battle (got destroyed pretty fast).

Nonetheless I think the mission to "Defend BT-delta" will conclude with a Terran victory anyway. In my first game I completly ignored the mission, fired not one shot at the Argon-, Boron- and Teladi-ships. In following games I killed only the escorting M3-M5. Because I remember (?) post abouts this beeing the expected / scripted way to do that mission.... But it takes some time (even on SETA).

In non of my games had I the military force to destroy some 30 enemy-M2's at the time of that battle (mean no own M7 / M2).

i sided with argon

terran win the battle thanks to the invincible kyoto and another 4 kyoto and almost infinite aegir that spawn regularly from TOA

so......its impossible to win this battle?
its supposed to be a terran win?

There is another thread with info about how to complete the Argon side of this mission, just search for it. I think it is about number of Terran ships destroyed, not having to destroy them all.

There is no Argon wins Code in the MD. Terrans always win, but with limited consequences as the gates are shutting down.
btw L2M051_C3_Argon_TerranFleetXL, L2M051_C3_Argon_TerranFleetS, L2M051_C3_Argon_TerranFleetXL_reset, L2M051_C3_Argon_TerranFleetS_reset continue to endlessly reinforce the Terrans in BTa after the Plot ends.
This should stop after the plot ends so a sub cue of Argon defeat should chancel these 4 cues.

In truth the only reason for this mission is to open there territory and obtain the ship at the end. You obtain the ship regardless of who you side with.

On a side note, station administration would like to remind you that important reading can be found on the bulletin board. Be sure to go back to X2 and read it. All the throw back announcements. Sheesh...

Oh, and the transport to Ringo Moon will be departing shortly.

Well. Thanks to the OP reward ship, my trusty 4 Ion Disruptors and the 2 PBCs that Strongarms doesnt even know is missing from their factory, I just do an ol MMORPG pull and kite. With a few good men I took 5 Rays and 3 Titans for myself.

Mission didn't end though. Brennan's Triumph Delta is in Terran's uncontested hands. Must be some M2s wandering around somewhere.

Never got reinforcements. There was an initially Rapid Repsonse team that popped in, but with X-Universe derp AI, of course they expose their whole top for all the Commonwealth M2s to fire at so they died almost instantly.
There's an ATF battle group in my Hub. Wonder if those were supposed to be the reinforcements. Whoops.

I very much like your style!
Asside from what's there at the start of the battle, I don't think there is a "mission-scripted" terran reinforcement. But every now and than will BT-delta be visited by a TER M1 or M2, that is escorted by some M6 and smaller. At times there might even be a M8. Still not enough to turn the tide.

For the mission to complete, you might want to leave this sector, do something else (and wait) - or do something about the remaining Teladi ships...
