Agents - obtain special ship - how does it work?
Do I have to target the special ship? or faction shipyard?
Do I get the ship or the blueprint?
Is selected faction angry? I do I get the ship legally?
What qualify as "special" ship?

Re: Agents - obtain special ship - how does it work?
Target a shipyard. When it says "Acquire Special Ships 4/4" it means the task is complete, as there are 4 special ships per faction, and the progress is 4/4. When it reaches 4/4, the agent will stay at the shipyard to maintain the task. You can only buy these ships while the agent is maintaining the task. Maintaining the task drains influence every in-game hour. If you want to buy them again later, you have to start the agent task again from the beginning. It allows purchasing ships, not blueprints. The faction is not angry, and it is a legal purchase just as you purchase other ships at a shipyard.
All the ships with gold names are "special".

Re: Agents - obtain special ship - how does it work?
So its not possible to get those special ships with hostile factions (eg yaki - adv. Chokaro)?
Re: Agents - obtain special ship - how does it work?
The special ships from the agent action are very limited.
You can acquire many "special ships", like the Hyperion Vanguard, by finding one in space, capturing it, and reverse engineering it at the HQ. So, if the Adv Chokaro is a ship that the Yaki actually uses, you can capture it and do the same. It's also possible but extremely RNG-dependent to be offered the blueprint by the explorers guild.

Is it only the major races that have such ships, or do corporations also have them?

I know I saw this posted in another thread. But it's actually quite simple.
Argon is my sample here.
You "purchase" the actual ships from:

Shipyard that sells: Omicron Lyrae
There is a Boron special ship that is glitched and is always available, at least in my game.

Not just your game, mine has that Boron ship too.BrigandPhantos77 wrote: ↑Mon, 13. Sep 21, 03:41I know I saw this posted in another thread. But it's actually quite simple.

You "purchase" the actual ships from:You first need enough points to send an agent with a faction. Then you send an agent to said faction to unlock said ships. They become available at a shipyard, marked in yellow. This is time sensitive. Once your agent arrives you will see it start with negotiating access 1 of 4. As it counts up a new one will unlock each time. Once it reaches 4 of 4. All special ships will show up in the shipyard for purchase temporarily. You must also have sufficient Notoriety with that race to purchase it, or else you are wasting your rep points. And the game will charge you points hourly to maintain there availability.SpoilerShowShipyard that sells: Omicron Lyrae

Speaking of the special ships, has anyone seen a Kariudo flying around? I've been able to capture the other three Yaki specials, but even a script didn't show any Kariudos in space.

They do, they have the potential to spawn as part of the group of M7's that roam Yaki sectors.
Keep destroying or boarding the M7's you can see and the M7D will show up soon enough.

That one probably got missed (or a bad line of code?) when they did all the others to be hid initially. I wonder if any more patches are in the works for the near future.Sovereign01 wrote: ↑Fri, 17. I hope so, as long as the Guppy remains available that way so it doesn't become necessary to build Atreus rep/trash OTAS rep to acquire.BrigandPhantos77 wrote: ↑Sat, 25. The ships are not normally on the list available at shipyards. They are added when the agent task is running.
It just so happens the Advanced Barracuda was already added to a shipyard which is why it's available
Also note The Guppy is also available to buy without diplomacy. But that is deliberate, as Atreus specialise in Drones

And why it doesn't disappear when the agent is done. Because it was there from the start for me. Maybe allowing one of them to be available to the player based on start scenario could be a future consideration on any updates / patches? It would make sense if an Argon Diplomat start could buy the Special M3 from the Argon without using the diplomat. Same with Split / Teladi / Paranid M3s.Cycrow wrote: ↑Sun, 26. Instances like Atreus make sense. It would also kinda make sense if the standard Griffin were added to Atreus as well. Its a special drone carrier. And given the love/ally relationship between them and Argon would make sense to me for the Griffin from a lore standpoint. So the Griffin was made from black market supplied equipment, "by Atreus", further refined to the Raider variant found at the Argon shipyard.
