Where did the Explorer's Guild go??
I explored and mapped maybe 70% of the galaxy, ended up with a million discovery points, and went back to the Royal Boron Research Station in the sector next to my HQ.
But... the Explorer's Guild representative is not there! What happened????

Re: Where did the Explorer's Guild go??
There is a chance to find a representative at any euqipment dock, shipyard or trading station.
Just com any of those and see if there is one currently.

Re: Where did the Explorer's Guild go??
As Chip said, you can find Explorer's Guild scattered around civilian ports.
When calling the station, look at the bottom of the list of people - the Guild is always displayed last.

Re: Where did the Explorer's Guild go??
Could we get an extra icon like for missiongivers to indicate stations with Explorers Guild Representative? Pretty please?
Re: Where did the Explorer's Guild go??
Unlikely, as (AIUI) this would involve alterations to files the (voluntary, ie unpaid) DEVs don't have access, time or resources (eg skills) to change
There are several such 'glitches' that can't be addressed by this side-project DEV team due to the above problems, & several more that are underlying problems with the game engine itself (that's now creaking really badly in some situations!) I'd love for them to be resolved, but I guess that's what the X:R (& hence X4) redesigned engine is intended to address

Re: Where did the Explorer's Guild go??
I can find a representative in under 5 minutes usually whenever I look. It may seem cumbersome, but usually within one or two sectors you'll see one, especially those with multiple docks,
Re: Where did the Explorer's Guild go??
Yeah finding the representatives is not that bad.
I have bigger issues with finding blueprints since those are hidden behind the think missions so its necassary to com each think mission giver to find out what the offer actually is.

Re: Where did the Explorer's Guild go??
Well, yes, finding 'a' representative is not that bad. But if you're hoping for some specific reward then you may have to go through a lot of them.
Re: Where did the Explorer's Guild go??
And keep those 34 million disco points ready to buy the expensive blueprints. EGOSOFT should develop an MMO, they have the grind down to a fine art
