Don't worry, you will never reach max notoriety with the current system. It would take thousands of missions...Chaos Master wrote: ↑Tue, 15. Jun 21, 20:21Does that also mean that if I do missions for a faction that I have max notoriety with I won't lose any with their enemies?

A slight variation on your idea would be to make a Xenon hunter license which would give you a small boost to rep with all civilized factions when Xenon is killed. That wouldn't change the core dynamics of FL, but would enable people who focus on killing Xenon maintain a better reputation with everyone.Chaos Master wrote: ↑Tue, 15. Jun 21, 17:42That way if you kill Xenon you'd always improve relations with everyone.
Re: 150 hours, FUBAR Noteriety System, Goodbye, Good Luck
one thing you do get for killing Xenon Currently is a Diplomacy Bonus with Terran for each Xenon Kill
Re: 150 hours, FUBAR Noteriety System, Goodbye, Good Luck
Which unfortunatly isnt worth much since the terrans dont border any xenon sector. So unless you plan to fight in the xenon sectors directly every kill is accompanied by a reputation loss which in turn ultimatly will affect your diplomacy by lacking the high rep bonus or even worse: having the low rep malus.

Yea, only thing that i miss in FL is Xenon Sector and Segaris part + Aldrin those sectors were immersive alotchip56 wrote: ↑Thu, 17. Re: 150 hours, FUBAR Noteriety System, Goodbye, Good Luck
This entirely depends on the magnitude of relation gain for Terrans upon Xenon kill, which Cycrow did not state.
Let us call the amount of notoriety gain upon killing a given Xenon ship X. If X is gained with an enemy of the terrans (faction E, anyone except Goner/Teladi/NMMC/TerraCorp), then 0.3X will be deducted from the Terrans. Presumably there exists some modifier to the Terran rep gain as a multiplier on X, let's call this F. If F is greater than 0.3, i.e. when gaining X with a given faction for killing a Xenon ship you also gain 0.3X with Terrans, or 0.5X, or 1.3X, or whatever, then Terran rep will only go up (because 0.5X - 0.3X is positive for any positive X. Bottom line, it depends on the magnitude).
If F is a flat value instead of a multiplier, then it depends on what Rank you are with faction E. If the gain with Terrans is not in turn impacted by DR, then it's a potential way to escape the system/be potentially friendly with more factions than one of the entries in my list. Even in the very worst case, it'll simply reduce the penalty of killing Xenon ships in other factions space (in regards to the Terran/player relation), as several posters have requested.
One could calculate this relationship ingame by doing nothing but killing Xenon ships in a factions space for a hot bit (literally don't dock at any stations, don't have any traders going, no stations trading, etc), and use the DR guide to back-calculate what the notoriety changes have been vs what they should have been if this bonus Terran gain was not included, but I haven't the willingness to collect that data myself (but would analyze the results if someone else did, lol).

You dont get relations for terrans upon a xenon kill. You get a bonus to diplomacy. As in "10% less cost of any actions of your agents in terran space" .blazenclaw wrote: ↑Thu, 17. Hah, I can't read! Well, I guess that's actually still useful, but requires you to synchronize times you take down Xenons with sending agents to the Terran faction. So yup, that's uh, time for me to sleep
