Pandora Tunings !

Post by Klord » Wed, 12. May 21, 10:20

I found 7 pandora carts so far using LFL. In TC/AP, there were 8 in the known universe and there was the slight possibility to obtain them from UFJD sectors.

How much can we find in FL? Is there a limit?

Discoveries are randomly generated over time. Will tunings crates also pop up later?

What about X4? Nah, I prefer a space simulator rather than a walking simulator.

I saw that actually. I did not understand Ketraar's answer properly.

"1. No. Your assumption to the consequence is wrong."

What does he mean by that?
I know discovery stuff are automatically regenerated over time. But it doesnt state whether its applicable to tunings or not.

He means that there is no UFJD, however it doesn't mean that there's a finite supply of pandora crates. They respawn in random sectors, so you'll always have the incentive of going back to previously discovered sectors[\spoiler]

I think he means that the consequence of not having the UFJD is not what Le Boron Chétif presumes. I.E. Not having the UFJD will not affect the future availability of goody crates.

Appreciate if you can verify this. Thanks. :)

Saying an assumption isn't true, do not make the assumption completely wrong either. Yes i read his answer too, but the original question was related to much more than simply pandora boxes and Ketraar simply said it wasn't true.

So at least a part is wrong, which one? Everything? To me it means quantum processors and crystals can be found again and again, maybe ships too (I found already two Ka'ak interceptors) but pandoras are what are the rarest in a game like X3 and they could simply decide you only get a number of them and nobody will be really able to check this before long.

there is a fixed number of engine tunings initially, spread out over 48 hours of game time
this is the same for ships and other things

there is also random spawns that happen at set time intervals, these are main discoveries or special discoveries, but has a small chance of other things, like engine tunings.
These ones are essentially infinite, however, there is a maximum that will be available in the game at one time, so you have to keep collecting them to get more

Thanks Cycrow for clearing it up. I need that Plot reward ship already. Shame its bugged at the moment.

Until then, gonna buy a Griffin and equip some speed tunings. :)
