Discovery points & Explorers Guild

Post by Klord » Sun, 9. May 21, 17:35

I have several queries,

1, Are there a limit to the amount of discovery points we can earn?
2. Sometimes, explorer guild reps sell "Discovery information". Do they unlock new stuff or are they just currently existing discoveries which we have not found so far?
3. There are inactive gates spread throughout universe, is there anything I can do to activate them? (I dont mind getting spoiled, if its plot related)
4. Where is Strong Arms HQ. In AP/TC it was in Thyns Excavation, but looks like those SE sectors are not available in FL due to gate shutdown

Thanking in advance :)

What about X4? Nah, I prefer a space simulator rather than a walking simulator.

No, but you get alot more points at the beginning as you are discovering things. After that, most points you get from the LFL/Discoveries

Its existing stuff, it will just tell you the sector to search in

These are mainly the gates that used to be active from previous games. They are there to show the gate shutdown

Thank you for the prompt response.

I have more querries,

5. Are there a limit to LFL discoveries? Or do random stuff originate in the universe over time?

6. Do new asteroids spawn over time? If so do Nividium asteroids also spawn? Im asking this because Im blowing up Nividium asteroids to mobile mining. Kind of worried about running dry of potential asteroids as I have already blown up 3 so far, and I have only 4 more remaining that I know of.

New stuff to find by the LFL will always be available, new stuff is always created. However, there is a limit to how many will be in the universe at any one time, so you may have to collect all the stuff first before new things appear

Asteroids that have been destroyed/mine will eventually come back.

Mobile mining is way faster than producing through a mine. Thats why I opted to mobile mining. Its kinda cool too, having a wing of Falcon miners attached to a Pelican running around the universe blowing asteroids. Just the way I like it.... :)

Nice, thats just what I wanted.

Does this mean that there will be new Nividium asteroids popping up somewhere in universe when I blow one for mining?
Or theres a possibility that the new asteroid can be a silicon/ ice or an ore one? If that is the case, universe will eventually run out of Nividium. Ill have to be more careful.

you shouldn't run out of nividium asteroids, but it may take awhile for them to return

plus you have competition, as NMMC are also mobile mining them
