PSA: Some starter ships don't come with preinstalled TSE

In some game starts, like Split Veteran, your starter ship doesn't have the Trading System Extension (TSE) preinstalled. It's the one that allows you to interact with stations without having to dock.

This isn't really an issue until you progress the plot a little, specifically the part where

you have to construct a BoFu factory with the HQ and then build it with an NPC TL.
Without TSE you can't actually do this since you can't transfer the station to an NPC TL while being docked (the menu needs to be opened without the game thinking you want to transfer wares to your own ship).

You can't buy TSE anywhere in the starting sectors;

neither the boron research station nor the pirate base offer it.
However, there are two abandoned ships in the starting sectors that both have it installed. To get the software onto your ship, open their freight menu and drop the TSE to turn it into a collectable container.

If you lose the two abandoned ships somehow, you would have to raid the local borons and hope someone is willing to surrender a ship with an intact TSE ...

It's not a big issue since it's pretty early in the game, but the game doesn't point it out at all so it might confuse and frustrate some players.
