Probably a bit of a daft question but what's the computer (and OS) specs. for running Farnham's Legacy?
I presume they're the same as for X3 Albion Prelude, but just thought to ask anyway. :)
The info is on the Steam store page, but yes, they are the same requirements as X3AP. :)
Okay, thanks for the info. CBJ, and @Alexalsp thanks for the link.
Question...I seem to remember way back in one of the X series of games you could import a small graphic (can't remember what kind of graphic file at the moment) and use it to put a logo etc. on top? of your stations, and possibly on your ship?...I'm thinking this was in one of the very early series maybe even XBTF?
Anyway, I wonder, will this be possible in Farnham's Legacy?...no sweat if you can't, but it was a really great feeling to see your stations with your own created logo spinning slowly on top. I'm probably thinking of XBTF or Xtension, maybe even X2 though. :gruebel:

Any thoughts or information welcome as always. :)

Adding player logo to ships would require adjusting all ship models, so no it wont be in X3FL sadly.

Ah, okay, thanks for the feedback. ...Looking back I remember I created a picture of a crescent moon with a smiling face (old man in the moon sort of) :D ....so it gave the game (for me) a kind of mystical property. It definitely must have been one of the earlier games thinking on it a bit more because the 'space shuttle' Brennan's ship, was also in it.

Just for the record, that was in BtF, X-Tension AND X².

Are player logos still supported internally? And if so, are the necessary scene changes documented anywhere? Has anyone modded it in since X2? This rings a bell, like someone messing with it, maybe in X3-R, like DDRS or something, but may have been a custom skin thing, don't recall...

It's possible to see on X3FL a faction/corporation behave like a race with own sectors and proprieties?

Hello friends,

First, thank you so much for keeping X3 alive. For many of us, that's probably one of the best from X series. We're looking forward !
Will Farnham's Legacy
-improve the AI pathfinding and the weird 'anti-collision' algorythm ?
-improve the turrets (for real, I mean ;-) ) ?
-any changes with the flight model and/or AI flight movements ?

Thank you !

Regards,

In general terms those are limitations of the X3 game engine, and can't be significantly improved. These are among the many reasons we needed to create the X4 engine. :)

Thanks for your reply.
Yes, I guess so. Nevertheless, we've seen significant improvements thru some external scripts or mods. I mean, no offense, if I'm here it is because I love that game, don't get me wrong. But there were also some tweaks brought by the communauty that have never been integrated to the official patch, unfortunately. Is there any plan to integrate the most useful & common fixes or do we stick to the vanilla flavour ?

Thanks again for making that happen

Just to be clear since there seem to be so many similar question, this project was not a question of the team incorporating dozens of third party mods, so asking if this mod or that mod was included is almost always going to result in a "no".

Hi all.

Is this add-on a separate install or does it run in place of A.P.? I am asking because I have an ongoing game already, with a good number of scripts and a couple of minor mods, and I would rather avoid a universe shattering install.

Thanks and sorry if the answer to my question has been posted somewhere already but I wasn't able to find it.

It's a separate install, a completely separate game.
