How to build a station with hired builder?

I'm at the part of the story where you deliver a ship to Split Elephant in order to hire it. But after I hire it, how to order it to pick up the station package from HQ?

I've ordered it to dock at HQ with the finished station module, then docked myself. Tried in the opposite order as in the manual. But the station is still red because of no room on the current ship. The "Freight" option on TL ship is also not help - it just show the contents of the cargo.
Tried various menus to transfer it, but nothing helps...

Figured it out.
So you need to transfer the trading system extension from one of the claimed transports, undock, and press adjusts station parameters.
How very intuitive.

The 2 recommended starts should have the TSE installed in the player ship. We'll add it to the other starts too.

The TSE is in my ship, but when i open menu to adjust station paramater, the only thing i can do with the module is to click on it to recycle it.
A little help will be gratly appreciated

The built station module is at the very top of the screen: easy to miss if you're scrolling down to search. This threw me a couple of times

How do I trade the Bofu station to the docked TL? I cannot command the TL so the Bofu station is red in the Adjust Station Parameters page of the HQ.

Sorry, I don't have a conveniient save to produce a screenie from ATM; however if you go to the PHQ 'Adjust Station Parameters' screen, the station should be the very first item (ie at the top) of the list, just under the window's title bar

I am also having a problem with this quest, but of slightly another kind.
I've asked Elephant to move to HQ sector just fine, but once I'm asking it to "move to shipyard", it says "affirmative", but just stands in place without moving (60 seconds with seta x1000 is enough of a test :/). When I'm asking it to "follow me" and dock at HQ, it starts flying away from it. And not in a "getting on a docking path" way. Just straight flying away, past 1.5 times triplex scanner view range. And I also can't activate seta while in station, so it's not very convenient to test this approach.
I've tried saving and loading, also restarting the game and loading, but "move to shipyard" does not do the thing. What do I do now?

Edit: Whether I'm in sector or not does not change it's behavior.

Edit 2: Haha, Split were marked as foe in my Empire settings and that, apparently, was blocking the action
