[#2098]SETA Exploit [BETA 2 7.0]

Post by Tataizer » Thu, 18. Apr 24, 10:34

Recently i got the SETA drive bugged out.
I don't have a video, but will post it when it occurs again.

What happend is after going from cruise mode into SETA and pause immediately then teleport to another ship while at pause and unpause - guess what

The game was speeded up by SETA while i'm on foot, that was crazy, i will try to recreate this bug.

And i can add to this shortly after - Game would allow me to use SETA while in cruise autopilot mode, there is something that is wrong with it...

In conclusion teleporting and pausing braking something in the game mechanic.

So basicly PAUSE > CTRL + D > SHIFT + 4

And here you go a speedhack

I can confirm that, so I would suggest that Pause always ends SETA.

PAUSE > SHIFT + 4 > SHIFT + 1

also enables SETA while in autopilot mode
This one is superb, you can do SETA in autopilot 8)

Forcing SETA to turn off on Pause is not the correct solution. Better solution, IMHO, would be to limit which commands that can be issued (remembered) when game is paused. I for one don't see why it should be possible to activate SETA when game is paused.

In fact, if you have SETA running and you pause the game SETA is turned off while it remains paused (the green "SETA Active" text disappears) and turned back on when you unpause - I guess it's just part of the Pause function.
