Are the food production not supposed to get any efficiency bonus from a workforce?

I don't have a Terran factory for this to check, but it looks the same on my Argon ones—you need to expand the drop down for the production cycle of food or medicine to see the effect on production, not that of workforce. They are not a breeding population, so having more of them doesn't help their number increase faster.
