[1562]Sector name flickering and grey place holder covering station icon

Post by flywlyx » Fri, 21. Jan 22, 07:36

At a certain scale, the sector name will start flickering if you move the map, some will disappear and some will show up.

And the grey place holder for the station icon will not disappear when the station icon has been displayed, resulting in the station icon not being readable.

[5.0B1] Sectornames not visible anymore when map is zoomed out

Post by WoodyAut » Fri, 21. Jan 22, 10:15

Hi,

When zooming out on the map (most of) the sector names disappear - this is not really useful as long as you don't know the map by heart when looking for a sector far away.

Still the case and together with the other map changes a real hindrance to me playing this game.

A map is meant to provide as much useful information as concise as possible. The new version provides hardly any information anymore, especially when trying to manage a lot of assets. Instead of prioritizing player-owned objects on higher zoom levels, it doesn't show anything anymore, so I have to zoom in quite far to then try and pick apart my stuff from the swarms of NPC ships.

Why was this even introduced? I don't see any benefit to this, just a lot of drawbacks.
