Mod - No Space Dust

Im am requesting a mod to remove the space dust and any little space mist that flies by your ship or if someone knows what file to edit to let me know. I always look for mods to remove it in any space game as I personally find them more distracting then helpful.

This does not improve performance. Space Dust take basically 0% GPU power to display. It is just a visual preference mod.

I dont want "no" space dust, I do want "less" space dust. Can you do that?

It boosted my FPS by 20. I have old CPU so it could be CPU hungry, by installing this mod i've got 50 fps in empty space ( Low FPS is due to my 110 mining ships in space etc. )

It is the only file added by this mod ^, just open it up with a text editor of choice change the numeric value.

1. Download the linked nexus mod
2. Unzip the mod into the extensions folder (I believe there are tutorials on the forum if needed). This should end up creating a folder called NoStardust in the extensions folder
3. Go into extensions/NoStardust/libraries
4. Open up stardust_library.xml in your favorite text editor (Notepad should work)
5. Change amount="0" to amount="10" (if you want 50% of default - use amount="5" if you want 25% of default, etc, etc, etc, you do the math). Don't change anything else. Save the file
6. Start X4 and enjoy less stardust.

Hope this helps you. Wrote this out before seeing ledhead's answer, so it's a bit redundant, but oh well.
