Question: Boron Destroyer Main Gun - Explained.

I can't get the main gun to fire, not when I steer and the NPC pilot also does not seem to use it.

Though I have only aimed it at S and M ships, does it only fire on L/XL? What does the Ion Projector look like?

You have to hold the fire button down for quite a while for it to charge up before it starts firing. NPC pilots will use it against anything M or larger (maybe S too, but I haven't seen them do that), but they are bad at it, and spend more time trying to position themselves than actually firing.

Hate to ask but you are holding the button down right? It charges up and fires after a couple of seconds in a way thats unique to that weapon (nice work by the way egosoft its very satisfying).

Ah, that's likely it. I didn't hold for long. More clicky and nothing happened. Hold for a second ans still nothing...
