Filled Capacity (Container) → 4414 (+850) / 25 k m³
Hull Parts → 1147 (+850)
Let’s resume:
4414 → non-sense (see below)
25 k (25,000) → the total available container space in m³
+850 → the numbers of units which will be brought back by some ship in the future.
1147 → the total numbers of units which will be stored in the future.
From there, it’s easy to conclude that the currently stored assets – in units or m³ – is not shown. I’m OK with that as I understand that on this specific storage section, we mostly need the planned numbers, not the current ones (especially the number of currently stored units which can be known by calculating it, or more simply by trying to trade with the station to bring up the trade dialog).
Now, let’s talk about the reason of my post: that 4414 non-sense value. I had a hard time figuring out how this value was calculated. The number of units of HP currently stored is 297 (1147 – 850). A unit of HP takes 12 m³, hence 297 HPs take 12×297 = 3564 m³. In fact, that 4414 non-sense value is the current storage in m³ + the incoming units, hence 3564 + 850 = 4414.
The issue here is that you can’t add 850 to 3564 to show the total planned m³ of assets, as these two values do not use the same unit. The “Filled Capacity” +850 should be +10,200 (850×12), and that should be added to show the m³ of assets in the future, which in turn should then be 3564 + 10,200 = 13,764. That's what I should see as the left-most value of the “Filled Capacity” section, so it should be:
Filled Capacity (Container) → 13,764 (+10,200) / 25 k m³
Hull Parts → 1147 (+850)
The only post I found about this issue is a quite old one:
Has this been forgotten?BurnIt! wrote: ↑Mon, 31. May 21, 13:49This is part bug, part feature.
Example: if you have 1000 Ore in solid storage and there's a ship with a trade order to unload 500 Ore the menu would show you 15000 m³ solid storage as being "in use". Right now you don't see where the "real" cargo volume ends and the expected volume starts, we're working on making that clearer in the relevant menus.
We'll improve the visualisation there to make it clear that the displayed volume is the expected volume including any scheduled deliveries.
Additionally there's a bug there that'll be fixed with an upcoming build. This resulted in some ware reservations being counted that shouldn't be.
