black screen no sound with pointer when game starts

I only get a black screen when the game starts with a mouse pointer.
There is no dump file in the folder.

The game used to run fine.

Any possibly relevant changes you have made to your game, system, or software before the issue occurred. Game used to work but stopped working after possible driver update.

Your system and drivers look OK. Have you verified your X4 game installation?

I don't quite understand your stated game version of 9943034 as the current release version 5.10 HF3 is 479084 and the current public beta 6.00 beta 2 is 492699.

I see you are having several Windows Defender time-out issues. It may be worth excluding the X4 gamefiles and save folders from Windows Defender checking in case that is what is hanging up.

You are using several Samsung SSDs and so I recommend that you do not use Samsung Magician with X4 if you are. I know that some very new Samsung SSD such as the 990s have been having issues with X4 (link).
