The game crashes in arbitrary places

Post by Kaifas92 » Thu, 1. Dec 22, 15:13

The game crashes with an arbitrary time interval, more often when communicating with ships from other sectors.

The DxDiag looks OK apart from the fact that you have 2 sound devices and drivers going at the same time, Nvidia sound and your Realtek onboard sound chipset that has a default Microsoft generic driver. Disable the one you don't use in Control Panel, Device Manager, Sound/Audio Devices (right-click on a device in the listing for a disable/enable pop-up). If you keep the Realtek device then get the latest Realtek HD Audio Codec (probably R2.82) either from Realtek Driver Update or using the Driver Update facility in Device Manager.

Your Windows Error Reporting at the end of the DxDiag is reporting several KernelBase.dll issues and AppHangs/AppCrashes that might indicate driver issues.

Good luck.

The extra device is disabled, all drivers are updated, the problem persists

Thanks.

Trying to remember your previous DxDiag in comparison with this new one, the issues added to your Windows Error Reporting are likely a Steam.exe issue and Opera Browser issues. I wonder if something else is going on either in Steam or in the background that is dragging focus away from the game (examples might be an app that calls home on-line to report in or check for updates etc). You could investigate your Steam Client installation and maybe minimise background apps running to those that you really need while playing.

It is a good idea to exclude your X4 gamefile folder and save folder from real-time virus checking too.

Oh, have you verified your game installation recently?

Unfortunately, even when Steam went offline after checking the integrity of the files, disabling all background functions did not help. When looking at a fresh DxDiag, I found that Opera and Steam errors were significantly faster (about 2 hours) when compared to the Event Viewer log. I am attaching the files of the last flight. According to the "Event Viewer" log, the last errors in DxDiag were recorded on December 1

I found a possible problem - according to the event log, there was a warning about the overflow of the paging file and data on the allocation of the necessary memory to running applications, for x4 - 14232510464 bytes, is this the norm?

Thanks, you are having a lot of SendRpt.exe AppCrashes that might be connected. I believe that is a Win10 diagnostic and issue reporting tool and it may be that an issue with that is making other lesser issues become more significant.

You still have 9 GB of pagefile available to your system in that DxDiag and so I don't think it's a pagefile issue. There is plenty of room for pagefile on your system drives.
