Ship (Asgard) wont go into travel drive, blinking lights that look like boarding pods are around the ship preventing it from entering travel drive.
There is a boarding operation that failed, in brennans triumph, that was targeting an asgard wich is in morning star 3 now (It has a players disvovery on it).
What happened in brennans was that i did a flyby with the asgard to cap the terran asgard, and launched pods close while flying past, however the terran asgard got into travel mode just before the boarding pods got to the ship, however they where in its gravity and got flung across the system.

Since 3.30 it have become very tricky to follow L-size ship with another L-size ship after you launch boarding pods as there comes "invisible" box around your own ship and you cannot go forward or backward.

This issue can be reproduced so that use Phoenix/Behemoth/Odysseus as boarding ship and destroy all turrets from target ship (e.g. from SCA Phoenix) and also 2 engines.
Launch boarding pods. Follow phoenix and continue damage the hull to desired level for your marines (or just follow) and quite soon you're "trapped" in invisible box as cannot go anywhere (just spins around).

Since 4.00 there has been issues with collusion detection when using L-size ships. Repair drones (or friend foe mines) can prevent ship going to travel speed when player is pilot (for AI this isn't issue as they can crash where ever (e.g. push player's ship away from their path) without losing travel mode).
Boarding pods flying to target ship was improved in 4.00 so they leave more easily from your ship. But I think side cause for this was now laser towers are more often inside of L-size ship frame.

Now in 4.10a I've seen ships can start spin around if you fly too near from another ship (e.g. while neutralizing SCA L-size ship (Phoenix is great example) for boarding) and it takes 15-20s get ship back under control.
Or MIN/TEL Osprey ends up to be inside of Phoenix frame when you accidently collide with it while battle against SCA/FAF ship.
