That's all fine, except that Windows doesn't allow individual applications to reset your PC. Only hardware and driver-level software can do that. So while the game may be the only thing that triggers it happening, the actual cause has to lie somewhere deeper down. Remember that every application will place different stresses on your PC, and may make different calls to to drivers and hardware features, so it's perfectly possible for only one to expose an underlying problem. Just one example of this is that X4 uses the Vulkan graphics API, whereas many other games use DirectX or OpenGL.

Now, in order to have any chance of being able to help you, we need you to provide the information requested at the top of the forum, most importantly your DXDiag and vulkaninfo information. While you're working on that, you could also do the one test you didn't mention, namely a thorough memory test, as memory faults have been known to cause system resets and X4 does use memory quite intensively.

Check your windows admin logs to see if windows tells you why it reset/crashed.

Also its getting warm the weather so check ur cpu etc temps with a tool like hw monitor or gpuz or realtemp or afterburner.

This can also happen if something goes wrong with power delivery, such as PSU being unable to cope or the CPU VRM overheating. Both of these usually do not have instrumentation to monitor their temperature and condition.

As a work around you could try capping frame rate, possibly to 30, and disabling CPU turbo to see if it makes a difference as both should lower how much power the system draws. If the computer stops resetting then this is a potential indicator that something is wrong with the hardware such as power delivery, or CPU stability.

Your dxdiag info seems incomplete as the listing is usually a lot longer.

Useful parts of the DxDiag include the sound devices and drivers, the disk drives and the Windows Error Reporting at the end. That is why we suggest uploading the whole DxDiag and Vulkaninfo texts to a reputable public fileshare site and just posting the public sharing links here.

Your Graphics driver is several month old (January) I would try and update that and see if it helps.

I had the same problem with a different game, it seemed that something with the game was causing a problem. It turned out that my power supply could not handle the power requirement of the CPU when that game started to require more resources.

It sounds like you have the same issue, and if so, the only real solution is to replace your power supply with one that can output more power.

What is your power supply wattage?

The system power recommended by Nvidia for systems with that graphics card is 500W. I think that could be a clue.

Make sure its a branded psu with at least 80 bronze or better rating, not a 25 quid cheap one that says 600w on it and is plated gold.

Dodgy save? Even tho it shouldnt reset a pc at all, maybe that save has something in that causes some crazy situation and puts some enormous load on? Tho i highly doubt it, id get ego to look at that save and see if anything jumps at them and they say oh no it shouldnt ever do that or something.

Try giving some repo steps being exact as you can, if possible maybe stream it on twitch even if thats a possibility then they can watch it and the video would show right up till ur pc goes nuts.

Your system should have a power and temperature monitoring application (on the drive or on a system support disk) that should allow you to monitor these things in the background while playing and then have a look at their history even after a system crash and restart. At least that would tell you what may be getting overstressed.

The fact that the same save causes issues if used first, but not so much if following a warm-up act from another save, might indicate some sort of system thermal or power 'shock' when doing a 'cold' start straight into a high stress situation. I don't know if that is really likely, possible, or indicative of something as it is just my wild theory.
