[4.0 HF3] Interactive comm causing massive FPS drops

Since 4.0 the comms we get from our slaves seem to render a background and not only render the station background but bringing the whole area around that station into high attention. This causes massive FPS drops (15-20FPS) every time it occurs. It's nice and all but it definitely isn't worth the performance cost. Please either remove that entirely or give us an option to disable that.
