No need. As we explained earlier in the thread, the problem has been narrowed down to incorrect driver behaviour in the more recent driver versions, and the matter is now with NVidia.

Driver 457.30 seems to have resolved the issue. I have switched to several ships/sectors and have seen no loss of the HUD.

[EDIT] Nevermind, the HUD did eventually disappear, then re-appeared.

Yep, same here. I rolled back and forth with the drivers, latest one installed 457.30 also does not fix anything.
This rather IS a gamekiller for me, i can´t start any combat as long as the indicators disappear - how do i monitor shields, weapon heat, hull ? I hope this gets worked on fast...

Did you also deleted the pipelinecache.bin after the rollback as Timon described it? (along with his other suggestions like - waiting for some ingame minutes)

I just mention it as I'm playing with very outdated drivers, a nvidia card & no issues in that matter.

Yes i deleted the file. And nope, also after some ingame minutes (hours even), nothing changed.

The devs have a very good idea about what is causing the problem and it appears to be a driver issue and so beyond solving by Egosoft. They have put a case with supporting information to Nvidia requesting them to resolve the issue in their future driver updates. That approach *should* fix it for all, whether specific driver roll-backs currently work for them (the majority) or not. The matter is in the hands of Nvidia now.

so sad to see that there is just one solution..... Turn off your computer and go wrap yourself in a detox/addictive position, curled up quietly in some dark corner of your house, rocking yourself slightly forwards and backwards clamping your arms around your legs retracted against your chest and make muttering repeating sounds like " ... I miss my computer!" and "... I want to play games!" and so on.....

The only medication for this problem is a potent salvation and it is called... [AHUM] .... NVIDIA - A -a - a - a ..... (Like an echo that fades away)

More than 3 h. playing and the indicators don't fade with the new Nvidia driver (457.51), for me, it seems that the problem has been solved on my GPU 1060.

I have to upset. Just got problems with a 457.51 driver. This time, my interface disappeared while loading. On a completely black screen only percentages and a hint were displayed. Video is GF2080ti

As Nvidia have not put anything about a fix for X4 in their change notes, nor replied back to Egosoft, the devs think that the new driver may not actually fix the issue but that some players who had this quite intermittent problem before are perhaps just being lucky so far while using the new driver.

In the meantime, I hope that players are using a *clean* driver uninstall before rolling-back or updating them. They otherwise face the effects of remnants of past driver versions persisting.

Just got problems with a 457.51 driver.

Nothing that bad, but yes, issues still with 457.51. Just the crosshairs circle vanishes, but looking at map/crossing a gate brings it back.
Same was with 457.30, but bit more often (subjectively). The rest of HUD: have not noticed to disappear.

Can't go back to 452.06, because "RTX 3070".

@ surferx: There are reputable 3rd party driver cleaner tools such as DDU, but I also believe that the Nvidia driver update process panel has an advanced option called something like 'Clean Installation'. (I have an AMD card.)

I read in a thread about loosing some HUD info being related to the latest driver from NVidia

they just released a new one today. It may resolve some issues??
